The picnic table for campground we rented was not shaded

very clean and tidy camp site. Very nice personnel. Only one disappointment, water line at the dump station was not in service.

The only bad thing is there fire rings are to tall so the smoke goes right in your face

We had a beautiful campsite, Lakeview 129. Close enough to the restrooms, but not too close. We had a lot of trees surrounding us, but be prepared for lots of sunshine in the center of this campsite. Very clean Campground! The showers don’t require any quarters, but they are the type that you have to press the button to release water and someone has to press it the whole time and wait for it to warm up (and the button is super high up, so if you are on the shorter side, it is a bit difficult). The showers are very clean though! We brought our three dogs and had to be a bit careful at night due to a pack of coyotes. Overall, we had a great time and it’s s beautiful campground.

Hands down the best campground, period. My three kids absolutely loved staying, which made me and my wife happy. Strongly recommended!

Excellent location. Several hiking trails very near. Right by lake walk and bike trail and Cougar Crest Trail leading to PCT.

This was our first camping trip. We absolutely loved it! Weather was a little cold and we still managed to have a good time. We reserved a spot next to the toilets, which helped a lot because we had kids with us. Facilities were very clean! Showers were still closed due to COVID. Big Bear City was 10-15 minutes away. We didn’t venture out much while we were there. We did manage to go on a off-road trail while we were there. If you’re into it, try the Gold Fever OHV trail; it’s less than 3 miles from the campsite. It was an overall wonderful camping experience. We’re already planning our next one!
