We love Serrano campground. We go every year. This year was challenging. There was issues with water being shut off and showers not having hot water. The showers definitely need improvement. Then, we had a double site and the site was even smaller than a single site. And we were asking to back in closer by campground manager who was not very polite. Sadly it was not the best experience. And for water being off and no bathroom use unless we walk far, we were not offered compensation or a discount. It was not a good experience this year sadly and we come each year for a week for the last 10 years.

We had a great experience for our first time at Serrano. We stayed in a double site, 115-116 Lake Loop. This site was located a comfortable distance from the bathroom and from potable water.. not too far but not right up against them. We had partial shade, and a long double picnic table with two food boxes. We really enjoyed renting bikes from Big Bear the bike/kayak/board rental shop on the south shore. The bike path took us all the way up to our campsite, which made it a perfect rest stop halfway through our 2 hour rental ride. The lake was too low and had some algae blooms present during our stay (9/27/22-9/30/22) so we couldn't do any activities on the water, nor let our dog anywhere near it. However we still enjoyed seeing sunsets over the lake and just the general beauty of the area. The campground is well-maintained, with friendly and well-informed staff. The bathrooms and showers (free showers!) are some of the cleanest I've experienced at a campground. We were impressed with it all and can't wait to come back!

Pleasantly surprised. Great campsite, we had a great time. We had site 115/116 so we were closest to the water. But you are also near a walking path so if that bothers you, move one site over. A couple minutes walk, you are at the Lake! You can jump in and swim. I saw that you can rent kayaks, paddle board, etc. there. Theres also bike path several mile long. Wish I had brought my bike. But, you can go hiking instead at the nearby Cougar Crest trail which less than a mile away, connected to the campsite. The staff here seem very friendly. The facilities were clean though not understanding why there was no paper towels in the bathroom? Highly recommend the campsite.

We tent camped in 115/116. Great location! Closest walking distance to the lake with a lake view. Also pretty close to the bathrooms! We camped in mid April, it's was 32F at night, 50F by day. The showers were nice and hot but you just had to hold the button down. Bathrooms were clean. 115/116 has a lot of shade!! Since it was cold we wished we had a spot with more sunlight. Other than that, it was great!

The site was very clean and organized. We liked how the Rangers patrolled throughout the day. Unfortunately, there were people coming in at night (~1am) and disruptive/loud. But overall, it was an excellent experience.

The campground is clean but the staff is rude and unwelcoming. Will not be staying here in the future.
