Probably the most well-managed campground Ive ever camped at. The abundance of campground hosts ensure everything runs smoothly and rules are enforced.

1st time here. Right across BIg Bear Lake. Campground is clean. Sites were adequately spaced apart so it didn't feel cramped. Facility amenities worked OK. Hiked 6 miles roundtrip everyday to town for groceries. I did not need much groceries - it was mostly to have a good excuse to hike everyday. The Gold FIre just 6 miles up the hill from BIg Bear Lake started the morning after I checked in. So helicopters where flying just above the tree line over the campground on their way to scooping water from the lake. The entire time during my stay, the helicopter noise was almost 24x7. I am not bringing up the helicopter noise to complain. On the contrary, a big shout-out to the CAL Fire firefighters who worked their butts off 24x7 to contain the fire and prevent it from coming down the hill. Thank you for keeping us safe !

You can't beat the location of this campground. It is quiet and away from the busy town area. The lake is within walking distance plus the bike/walking path that starts/ends at the east end of the lake starts/ends at the campground. Easy access to the Cougar Crest Hiking Trail and the Nature Center is very close by. Lots of trails in the area for off-roading too! Kayak and bike rentals within walking distance as well. We camp here a lot and it is our favorite place to camp at Big Bear Lake.

Lovely setting in the woods. It is away from the town of Big Bear so you will need transportation.

Roads were a bit narrower than they look on videos and pictures. Unfortunately due to the water shortage our site with full hook ups did not have water.

Always a pleasure when we can get a campsite with full hookups in a public campground. We come to Serrano every year for our family gathering. Clean, well kept. The Camp Hosts and Rangers are all very nice and helpful. Large campsites, with amenities. Close to Big Bear, near East launch ramp, easy lake access. Just a couple of miles to grocery stores, food, Starbucks and anything you could need.

Great time, we stayed in our RV in the Snowberry loop (full hook-ups) the four nights leading up to Thanksgiving 2020. Clear warm days, clear COLD nights. Only problem was power went out for a short time daily around 6:30 due to overloads. It went out one night making for a cold awakening! Very minor inconvenience. No fault of the campground, but not being able to have a wood burning campfire was a bit of a bummer; be sure to bring a propane fire pit, they are permitted and make for a very nice substitute.

It was good. But there are too much snow on the road which should be cleared.

this park is immaculate. I really appreciate that. The bathrooms were always clean and the staff VERY friendly and helpful. One thought tho....we tow a vehicle. Before we climb the mountain we have to stop and unhook as it is too steep a grade to drag a car. Then we have to hook it up again to pass the guard or we get charge for a vehicle ....Can we do anything about that???
