Friendly and helpful staff.Roads within the park need major improvements, lots of cracks and ruts. Narrow roads w/ large boulders on both sides which makes it difficult to maneuver a 36 RV . Would be nice to decouple outside of park and not be charged extra for tow vehicle

Beautiful campground. Big Bear Queen Lake Tour is outstanding. DIscovery Center is always worth the visit.

Great , quiet, clean park! The spaces are a bit tight for an RV but adequate. Roads could be improved by smoothing out the major cracks.

Serrano is so well kept. The campsites are cleaned before arriving (unlike several others) and we always feel safe with plenty of staff around. All around nice campground!

Great bike path for riding along the lake. One of the few campgrounds with full hookups, with plenty of distance between camp sites.

Serrano is a beautiful park in the cutest little town. A week before we arrived we were wanted that one of the pipes was frozen and we didnt have water. We filled our fresh tank and rationed water as much as we could. Our second to last day we were there the water returned, yay! When I hooked up our hose to the faucet it leaked tremendously. We filled a 5 gallon bucket in 7 minutes that was sitting underneath the drip. I tried two other hoses, same thing. Through the duration of our stay we were constantly getting a low voltage alarm on our surge protector. We went 3/6 nights without holding power consistently. We decided between the power issue and water struggles to get off the mountain and were offered a refund. Were thankful for that. Something that should 100% be noted is that you are traveling UP a large mountain to get there. We were unaware just quite how dangerous the north side of the mountain was. We barely (literally barely) made it up with our 31 foot TT. When we left we went out of our way to take the long south highway down. When we asked for recommendations for park staff on how to safely get down they recommended the way we came. It was an odd convo really. When we said thats the way we came and we could barely make the turns or elevation they stayed with oh yea I wouldnt really recommend it. Its just faster. No one could give us a real response. We ended up asking locals. To save you the headache, take the route closes to San Bernardino.

We love Serrano Campground. Beautiful setting, friendly, helpful campground hosts; clean and well-maintained facilities; prime location walking distance to the lake, near Big Beak Lake Village and with small "camp store" nearby for convenience. We go whenever we can get reservations (since apparently everyone else loves it too!)

Great place for a family camping trip. The campsite is quiet, clean and kid friendly. It is located close enough to the lake to make it an easy walk. It is also far enough that in a busy weekend you will not be disturbed by the crowds. The camp hosts were very friendly and available to answer question and offer advice about the facility. I visit this campsite every year and plan to be back next year.

Beautiful campground not far from the amenities at Big Bear. The grounds are very nice and there are several nice hikes directly accessible by foot from the campground. Must dos are the path along the shoreline, Discovery Center, and Bertha Peak from Cougar Crest Trailhead. Rates are very reasonable.

We have camped at Serrano numerous times however, this time there was some changes. When we first arrived we did not go to the site because my son pulling the toy hauler wasn't there yet and we wanted him to pull in first, so we stopped by the first restrooms we saw & sat at a picnic table nearby. Immediately someone came up and asked us what we were doing, I politely explained we were just there for a few minutes, then they left. They came back again a couple minutes later and told us not to leave any trash there, We only had 2 water bottles, but OK. Then someone came by again, all within 15-20 minutes, it felt extremely harassing! Then I pulled into a wide dirt area directly across from our campsite to unload and was immediately approached by the camp Supervisor who told me I needed to move immediately or I would get a ticket. I explained that I was only unloading and this was a huge dirt lot but I still had to move immediately and there was no where to park to unload. Luckily another car moved but then I was told not to have even an inch of my tire touch the dirt??? Seriously? That was extremely difficult to do and not be too far into the street as I was in a truck. We're extremely conscientious & environmentally aware family. It wasn't a good feeling being there anymore.
