We've been camping with friends at this campground for years. We love it. Wonderful to be in the pines. I do however knock off one star for the fact they charged us $16 for my wifes car because weren't towing. I dont see the difference since its still one vehicle. Sounds like nickle and diming to me. We've never been charged in the past but I understand the county now has a 3rd party vendor handling the gate duties.

Beautiful camp ground, camp hosts do an amazing job camp sites are pristine. Large camp tables and fire rings. This was my first visit and this camp ground will now become one of my regular favorites. Very friendly group, I was in snobbery loop full hook ups in great condition.

Great location, great facilities. We had a wonderful time in this campground with our 35' Motorhome using full hookups. It was quiet and very close to downtown Big Bear and everything it offers. Bike trail available all the way into town. Highly recommend

Nice jewel at the top of the world. Quite a climb to get to. About a half an hour of climbing S turns on a 2 lane road. Those that are not comfortable with towing on those type of roads will not love it. The campground is amazing. There are many sites, some with full hookups! Nice bike/hike trail along the beautiful lake that is directly adjacent to the campground. The weather is cooler than at the bottom of the mountain range. The lake town has anything that you would need. Would definitely return if my wife wasnt so freaked out by the roads in and out!

We enjoyed our trip camping among the mountain pine trees. Covid restrictions are lifting but some hiking trails and the Big Bear Solar Observatory were still closed as of June 2021. Very nice campground.

Really nice campground. The sites are close together but there is plenty of space behind your spot.

Instead of dirt around the fire rings, how about some gravel. Better road leading to the lake, signage recommending RVers use certain routes. Fire wood you sell is soo dry its almost in itself i fire spreader.
