I had a great time at Leo Carillo Beach RV Park. It is in a great location and is a minute's walk from the beachI will definitely return.

Ten stars for the person who helped me reserve the campsite over the phone. The gate attendants were kind and helpful too. The campsite was clean and had plenty of shade. The fire pit was the perfect size for roasting marshmallows for the smores. I definitely recommend this campground.

Beautiful campground. Lots of mature pine trees. Close to the road, but little traffic noise. Close to trails and the lake.

The campground is beautiful, but the campsites are too close together. This review would probably be much different under different circumstances. Even though the forecast was for
sunny perfect weather, it rained on us setting up the tent (not a pop up, but a 9x 12 canvas tent), and the whole next day up until the point the very nice camp host told us we had to leave. The US Forest service closed the campground. Then we broke down then tent in the rain. We were there in the early part of the week and most of the village was closed. Overall, pretty sucky. Plan B? Wine tasting around Santa Barbara!. Awesome.

Serrano Campground was one of the cleanest, best managed campgrounds I have ever been to. The sites we stayed in were very large, had mature trees, and were positioned for privacy with other campers. We stayed 2 nights in May, the first night in the Lakeview loop and the second night in the Summer Wind loop. When we arrived at both sites, they were immaculate! Both were very clean, no trash from previous guests, and all areas were raked. The restrooms were very clean as well. Serrano is clearly very well managed from the attendant at the check in gate to the camp hosts. When checking out of one site and in to another, we had mistakenly left a small rug at the first site. The camp host held it for us and returned it to us within an hour of us realizing we had left it. There are camp hosts for each loop, which explains why all sites and restrooms are so clean. I have never met a more professional, friendly staff of camp hosts before. All roads in Serrano are well maintained and it was easy to bike around the campground and easy access to the Big Bear Lake bike path. Serrano is in a great location too. Far away from the town of Big Bear, but an easy drive into town. Cougar Crest trailhead is a short walk from Serrano, too. We will definitely be back to Serrano!

This is a very nice campground, very clean and sites where neatly raked (like a Japanese garden). The visit was very peaceful during the week days we were there. All the staff we met and spoke with were very friendly and pleasant.

The bike trail that runs through and by the campground was a big plus for us.
