Site 65 had inconsistent shaded areas. It was advertised at full shade. The lack of shade made us miserable. There is minimal flat areas for a two-person tent, and we had to reposition our tent a couple of times. The bathrooms were clean and almost odor free. The light pollution from the nearby toilets penetrated our tent.

Site was well kept. The attendants made regular rounds and were very friendly. And what my wife thought was the best aspect of the site.... the restrooms were clean neat and tidy. She doesnt come on camping trips with us too often for that reason. Needless to say, she'll be coming up with us at least once more before the season ends.

Great facility . It was very well maintained and quite . There is a hiking trail inside the facility. Nice medium level hike which is around 8-9 miles long . First part of it was pretty open and not a lot of shade so make sure wear a hat and some sun screen however second half of the trail is pretty nice and covered with trees , it takes around 3-4 hours round trip . On the way to the camp ground you have to take a dirt road so make sure your car is ready for it. Its like 3-4 miles, quite bumpy. I think what makes this place special is you are far away from the road and not a lot of traffic around you, at the same time you are like 20 min away from big bear city. I would definitely recommend it if you dont want to drive to mammoth and looking for a weekend getaway. I will definitely come back . By the way restrooms are extremely clean and well maintained.

Excellent campsite. Lots of trees and good spacing. Clean and great host. Far from the riff raff around the lake. Highly recommend.

The location was beautiful and the camp host, Erin, was so friendly. We had a great time!
