Close enough to Big Bear for the convenience but far enough for relaxation.

Awesome hosts. Great location. You have to take a dirt road for about 10 minutes. It is passable my any small sedan. Nice and clean.

Space 51 is the best with all day shade, close to bathrooms, water, and a trail. We come here many times a year and love it.

The site was very nice, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There is a trail head on the grounds, which leads to a decent hike. The "quiet time" rules are completely ignored, with partiers whooping it up until past 1 AM, which is very frustrating when the goal is to get out into the peacefulness of nature. Try to find a site that is somewhat distant from the bathrooms, if you can; the smell occasionally wafts over on the breeze, otherwise, if you're downwind.

Spacious campground, great for our small children. There's a hiking trail in the campground that was perfect for family hikes. Friendly hosts, good social distancing, and a beautiful site. Do watch out for the chipmunks! They are bold little dudes who will help themselves to your food right in front of you.
