We stayed at campsite 3 and had a great time. The camp hosts were very friendly and the bathrooms were spotless. My boyfriend mentioned that the men's restroom near us did not have a toilet seat, so hopefully, that will be fixed soon. The bathrooms have flushing toilets, stocked toilet paper, and running water. They do not have soap or anything to dry your hands, so just an FYI. I brought soap and a towel with me. We bought 2 bundles of firewood from the camp host on day 1 bc it was very convenient but it's a small bundle for $8. The next day we went on a hunt for a wheelbarrow full of local firewood.

The campsite has plenty of shade, a picnic table, a campfire ring, and a semi-secluded spot for our tent. The bear box came in handy since we had a raccoon visitor all night on day 1 the size of a dog. He was very well fed. He never came close to us but stayed right next to our campsite at sundown watching to see if we would walk away from any food left out. So beware, the masked bandit makes his rounds. That was the only time we saw (heard) him. After that, he didn't bother us since we left nothing for him. Use the bear box.

There are water spigots nearby in case you need to refill. We brought plenty of our drinking water so we only needed to refill the water we used to clean with. On day 2 we had neighbors move in and we decided to move our small 3-person tent next to the picnic table so we wouldn't hear them and it was warmer near the fire. They were very respectful but with kids, they get loud without meaning to. It was just more quiet facing toward the road.

The shops near the lake were all closed on Thursday so if you arrive during the week, be prepared to have everything you need. On Friday the small store was open until bout 6pm so we grabbed some ice. The restaurants were not open until Saturday when we left. We didn't mind since we were there to camp and cook our food.

Great experience, we will be back!

Camp hosts were very friendly and helpful and made us feel welcome. Campground itself was delightful - quiet and remote, nice picnic tables and campfire rings, and spacious.

I stayed one night. Stayed at site #3. Which is like an afterthought for a camp site. Right next to me was 11 people. 4 adults and 7 kids. They ran through my site all night long scream until well past quiet time. Woke me up at 6am screaming. Not fun.

The sites are small but lovely. There is a very small 1' across the stream that runs along the campsites by the road. The site is within a pleasant walk of the lake, stores, and restaurants in town. The hoast was friendly. A man came into the camp around 3 am. Got into people's bear boxes, skulked around their tents. He went into my bear box and I was prepared to let him take food, but then he tried to come into my tent and I ordered him to leave. Instead he walked over to my fire pit and lit a fire. I again confronted him and again told him to leave and he did. I couldn't call the police since there's no cell service at the campsite. I told the camp hoast the next day and then the mentally delayed woman staying with the groundskeeper walked around the campsite screaming about me, the groundskeeper, the camp hosts, and made the rest of my already stressful stay pretty miserable. She never spoke to me directly. She just walked around screaming for hours. The hosts and the groundskeeper she was staying with left the campsite to get away from her rather than stopping her. When they left she walked to the empty campsites and screamed at nothing. It's such a lovely spot, but don't go unarmed.
