The camp site is very well maintained and always kept clean. Staff were kind and helpful. At night, park ranger periodic drive by around the campground gave definitive sense of safety and security. Hiking trails were a little tricky but nothing complicated. It was nice and well maintained trail. Overall, its excellent.

Dogwood is the perfect campground with trails for bike rides and hikes. The trees are plentiful offering shade and beauty, The campsites are roomy and clean. Bathrooms are close by.We had a wonderful time and were able to invite some friends over for the evening to share in a birthday celebration.

We spent 3 nights at Dogwood, site 089. It was my sons first time tent camping and we couldnt have a better experience! Bathrooms were very clean and the showers were clean and water was warm. Water pumps were very close. The only issue we had was the bathroom closest to us was clean during the day, but at night, spiders took over, luckily we were near another restroom that didnt have an issue. Our site was flat and big, and can easily support 2 tents. There was also an electrical outlet at this site, so I was able to bring an electric kettle for our coffee press in the morning. Fire pit has a grate to cook on, as we did, that flips out of the way when youre done. One side of the site had great privacy, but the other side was pretty open to your neighbor, but their fire pit was located on the other side of their site, so we still felt very isolated. Lake Gregory is about 15 mins away and has a water recreation area for the kids for a small fee. There is also fishing for a fee. Lake Arrowhead has restaurants and a super market which was convenient. Overall, staff was very friendly and always greeted you with a smile when you passed in and out during the day. The site was nicely shaded, flat and cleared. We had a lovely time! I recommend it for a long weekend getaway.

We have been camping at Dogwood for over 40 years. Its a Wonderful family campground. Great hiking, restrooms and showers. The groups of hosts that are there this year are some of the friendliest and most helpful we have ever dealt with there! We hope to see them there again next year!

Really loved this camp sight . So much green and it was quiet and clean. I would say their price is a bit high for a camp sight but still very beautiful.

Dogwood was a very extensive and beautiful campground! Plenty of bathrooms, water spigots, and dumpsters for public use, all easily visible from the sites and roads. Site 089 was across from a well-kept bathroom (2 unisex toilets). There were enough trees to provide roaming shade throughout the day and to hang at least 4 hammocks from. The dirt was uneven towards the back of the site, which is unfortunately exactly where youd want to set up a tent (away from the road and the neighboring sites). I would say you could manage to fit up to 3 tents, although some would be slightly tilted/uneven. The driveway fit 2 cars without issue, the left side of the site had a small grove of closely packed trees separating it from site 87 to provide some privacy, but the right side is wide open and in full view of site 91. You are also in full view of the road, so anyone walking or driving by can see your entire site; not my favorite thing. You also see everyone coming in and out of the bathrooms. The site sits in the middle of a loop, which means you have your back to the road above. Basically, as far as privacy, 89 offers none. We enjoyed Dogwood as a whole, but site 89 would not be my first choice again. Camp hosts are always around if you need anything, they sell $8 bundles of firewood (card at the entrance hut or cash only with the hosts at their sites). There are 2 trails connecting to the campgrounds: The Enchanted Loop and Dogwood Trail. Enchanted is short and will stay within the campground, but Dogwood is longer and leads out to a road. You could just walk all the loops as well, and scope out a future site. All in all, I would definitely stay here again, just not at 89!
