We have stayed in spot 77 and 79 several times. They both have long parking pads that accommodated our tent trailer (16 feet closed and 23 feet open) and our truck. Spot 77 has a moderate down slope to it towards the end of the pad so getting level takes some creativity. The spots have plenty of shade and are easy to back in to. They can each accommodate about 2 medium/large size tents. The closest water spigot is at the bathroom about 30 feet down from the campsite. The camp hosts were exceptionally welcoming and helpful!

The campground itself is very beautiful. A lot of shade in most sites. We stayed in site 77. We had plenty of room. Site was big. Note, its close to site 79 with no real "divider" between the two. When we were there our neighbors had 2 tents. For me, that site should only have one tent. The second tent was placed behind their car. It just seemed odd to have it there. They were respectful though. But future campers should be aware of that. If you have a big group, people should book site 79 and 77 as one can just walk up there with ease. One thing that frustrated us was that there doesn't seem to be an enforcement of quiet hours. We had people talking loudly around 1 am or 2am. I wish people would respect quiet time. People can stay up late but they can do it without disturbing their neighbors. There are restrooms and showers. They are clean...and always maintained. That is appreciated. We will give this campground another try since its beautiful. Hopefully our experience is a little better. We also like it because there are towns nearby and fun activities to do with the family.

Stayed at site 77. It was spotless and right near the restroom. Site is not level.

I love Dogwood. Only issue is some of the sites are a bit too slanted, could be more flat.

We went to Dogwood as our first family camping trip. It was a good experience for us. We stayed at site 77 and it was a beautiful site and close enough to bathrooms.

We love the woodsy feel of this campground. Every site is nestled into the trees and provided good distance from other campers and great all day shade. We stayed at site 77, which has a bit of a decline in the parking area and on the open camp areas where tents would go. We stayed during heavy rain and many of the sites had some pretty severe run-off. Keep the incline and decline in mind when picking your site. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and the campground staff was helpful and kind. Some other things to keep in mind:- This is not an exceptionally quiet campground. Its on a flight path, near a highway, and the local high school. The clean-up thats ongoing around the campground includes gas leaf blowers. The leaf blowers ran for hours. - High school cross country teams train on the roads. We had quite a bit of noisy kiddos and coaches running through the campground for two days. Overall, we enjoyed our stay, and well visit again.

This campground is always immaculately kept, and we come here a lot. We had some pretty loud music in a nearby site this time, unfortunately. Not ideal for enjoying wind in the boughs and birdsong.

Great site. Close to water and restrooms. Very large site and mostly private. Neighbors at site 75 are very close but the way the hill is you cant really see each other unless youre at the picnic table. Site is slanted and tree heavy (good hammock spots) but level enough room for a large tent or maybe two near the bushes. Hosts and rangers were great. Wood available for $8. Short walk to the trails and shower. Mid June and absolutely no crawling or flying bugs, lots of birds and squirrels. Close enough to town. Great cell coverage. It IS a family campground so not a ton of quite time. Lot of children up late at night, music, etc. One of our favorite spots will definetly be back.

Great campground and site 77 is perfect. It does have a trail leading into the campground so there will be people walking by but that did not bother us. It was a spaciously site and close to the bathroom.
