Bear boxes were updated, new ones are smaller than the previous ones. Campsite/campground overall was great. Unfortunately, there were about 3 families in vans that allowed their kids to use all areas including empty campsites as a playground. They not only would be one full group site away from their parents, but their child would antagonize our dogs with a stick. I had to address them directly to ask them to stop. These kids were under the ages of 8 so they really should not have been left alone. They were not in their parents view from where we were. The also turned the bathroom into a game so o couldnt get away from them even when using the toilet. Bathrooms are gross why they were able to hangout in there is beyond me. I recommend if dogs are required to be on 6 lead at all times, children should stay in their designated campsite or with a parent. I didnt pay $120 to babysit.

The campground was very well kept, had free hot showers, spacious sites, and lots of shade. The only negative thing is all of the bugs right now, but that is probably any campsite and inevitable. This site is good for families staying at the campground mostly and easy driving distance to lake Gregory for water fun. I wish there was a hike with a nice view nearby but there really arent any nice views. Its located side by side to a high school and busy highways too so safe if anything happens to get to the city fast.

Had a great time but was really disappointed that they enforce the check in time so strictly, we arrived about an hour before and had to wait in the parking lot. The lady in the booth made it up to us by offering us a bundle of wood so that was nice of her. Campsites are super close together to the point that morning conversations can be heard from inside the tent while the neighbors were inside their tent. Bathrooms were super clean, camp site was supe mr clean and I even had reception.

The campground is beautiful! Quiet and very well maintained. Shower with hot water are free! It is 15 minutes for Lake Arrowhead Village. I will be back soon.

Most miserable and disappointing camping experience weve ever had. Every 30 minutes during the daylight hours a loud tourist chopper was right over the campground! A great place for the deaf to camp. We were booked for 3 nights and left the first morning. There was absolutely no peace and quiet.

Dogwood campground is the best, cleanest, friendly campground in the San Bernardino National forest. We have camped there many times. The camp hosts and employees rake the campsites after each use and are spotless for the next camper. The bathrooms and showers have been extra clean every time, however the showers all need maintenance, IE: shower heads clogged, hot/cold mixers not working, soap dish holders have been damaged and are missing, one hook provided has been ripped out. We tried out the 2 shower facilitys in the 10 days we were there and found only 2 to be operating properly. Hopefully over the winter season needed maintenance will be instituted. We have another reservation in October 2021 and hope the closure of the campground at this time because of fire precautions will be lifted so we can enjoy Dogwood again this year.

Dogwood campground is a beautiful place, many many green mountain trees, so secluded you think you are out in the woods all by yourself, but it is only 1 mile off Hwy 18. the bathrooms are clean, no showers available the time we were there because of covid. When we arrived at our campsite the whole area was freshly raked, the fire-pit was clean. All the employees were super nice and helpful. There is no day use there, but you can have day visitors at a charge of $8.00 per car. There is a 2 car limit at each campsite. Some of the campsites are very small and on a downward slope, but the others are mostly flat. We have camped at the same site several times and are set to visit 2 more times this year 2021.

Great campground - easy drive and once you set up camp you feel very secluded. Great facilities and staff. Would definitely return!

We would have left a perfect five star rating for this wonderful campground, however, literally on our way out of the campground at 8:45am we were stopped by an incredibly rude hostess that ruined our morning and soured the trip. She walks out in to the road without making eye contact in an incredibly cringe way, then SHOUTED at my wife through the window. The reason? She demanded our car pass. While we had no problem handing it over, her overall demeaning tone and aggression was totally uncalled for. She was too lazy to check placards and her list and acted as though this was the only way to know we left (never had this experience after camping 100s of nights in our parks). There is no reason for a camp host to be so rude when they have such a wonderful job. Mountan Top Recreation needs to develop a customer service training program because this was by far the rudest experience we've had camping in the San Bernardino Mountains. What makes it worse is we're mountain locals. We hate to see such an immature, nasty host in such a beautiful place. This is a busy SoCal destination and the best of the best should be operating this place.
