The Hosts do a great job of taking care of the campground and facilities. They are also very friendly and pleasant.

Very nice staff and camp host. Beautiful place to camp and enjoy the views. Some of the campsites are not level, I would like to see a list of campsites that are not level.

Spot 86 is great! We had more than enough room for our 16 pop up trailer, a truck, and a sedan. The parking pad is level but would definitely be a bit difficult to back in with a larger trailer. The campsite itself is large and could easily accommodate 2 large tents or 3 medium/small tents. There is a lot of shade in this camp spot too. The camp hosts do a wonderful job of keeping the campground clean. The bathrooms were always impeccable and the showers had hot water.

One of the cleanest campgrounds that I've ever stayed at. For the city people... yes, they have free hot showers (no coins or quarters needed!), bring your own shampoo and soap. The bathrooms are quiet large and have soap and running toilets. Some campsites (83-89 and a few others) have electricity hook ups (two 110v 15amps house style outlets + 30A RV outlet). Almost every campsite had a ton of shade and trees. There is potable / drinking water all throughout the campground. The staff is wonderful, they enforce quiet hours (10pm-6am) if you notify them of anyone breaking the rules (such as blasting music beyond 10pm). I'd say that in most campgrounds driveways, you can park 3 or maybe 4 cars and most should fit a pick-up truck + mid size trailer. There is a hiking trail in the campsite, but it's quite rocky, i wouldn't call it kid friendly. Nearby activities: Lake Arrowhead Village, Strawberry Peak Fire Lookout (free), Keller Fire Lookout (also free, a longer drive but amazing 360 degree views), Big Bear Village, Skypark / Santa village (not cheap), Alpine Slide (lots of fun for kids and adults), Big Bear discovery center.

We were guests at the Dogwood Campground late April of 2021. The campground was very pleasant and we had great weather for our stay. Because it was early spring, there was not an abundance of flying insects that could be bothersome. The spaces are large and you really get a feel of the open space and we were very happy to have spent some time in the forest. We went to Lake Arrowhead for breakfast and to Blue Jay for some groceries. Both communities are nice and we will definitely be back in the fall or next spring.
