Nice area but very small and hilly. we probably couldve fit one more tent if it was allowed.

I always come to Dogwood to camp during the summer. Its a beautiful spot with lots of trees, and very quiet. The great thing about dogwood is they have flushing toilets and showers.

Forest is really beautiful and this spot is right near one trail. We were at Tuesday and there were a lot of people there. Dogs also! I dont mean its bad just a fact. Also prepare anti mosquitoes supplies bc bugs there are insane. They have bear boxes toilets water and showers!! And really sweet lady at the entrance

Maximum # of people per site was not enforced and made our experience worse because of it. Site across from us had about 25 people around a campfire.

Great atmosphere, beautiful scenery great for a getaway from the city without going very far

Our family of 5 had our first camping trip here. We enjoyed site 64 because it was close to the bathrooms, but not too close; it backs up to a large, steep wooded area that connects to the trail and has lots of good trees for hammocks. We didnt enjoy that the picnic table being on a fairly steep angle, and it was clear that this site has washed away from past rains making it sort of awkward compared to some of the other flatter spots. Its secluded because there are no sites on either side of you, but there was also a fair amount of foot traffic since there is a trail head adjacent to the site and the bathrooms are near by. It has a couple great spots for tents still though, away from the ravine. All and all I would camp at this site again and I think its a good site for families. FYI the camp map is kind of deceiving, 64 is not up and away from other sites like it appears.

Loved our COVID-19 safe trip to Dogwood! The camp sites have great tree coverage, each has a bear locker and they are nicely situated within a large campsite. The overall campsite area is family friendly and it's to walk to the bathrooms/water (note: showers are closed due to COVID-19) located throughout, as well as to nearby hiking trials. The campsites aren't very private since they're closeish together, so if you're looking for a more solitary/private trip, or sites closer to water, this might not be the best bet.

It was only one night (because of no showers) but the campsite we chose (no. 64) was well secluded and very nicely set up with plenty of shade. A pity they locked the showers, not sure why as it makes no sense to worry about showers being used during covid when toilets are open but there was no soap provided?

It's a great place for first time campers, they have everything you need and more. It's also not far from Lake Arrowhead and theres a lot of trails nearby. Overall it was a great experience and a lot of fun!

The campsite was clean, well setup and very beautiful. The campgrounds as a whole were extremely well maintained and taken care of and all the facilities were far above most campgrounds. It is not remote, but still wild and beautiful. Definitely a campground that is better for families, but any group would enjoy their visit.
