Absolutely beautiful!! Camp site very spacious. Clean bathrooms. The hosts were pleasant and knowledgeable. There is a lovely hike from the campground. Arrowhead lake is stunning, there is an easy hike around the lake . Cant wait to come back.

Dogwood is my home when I want to go camping nearby and not drive 3-5 hours. It is always well-maintained and each campsite is spacious. The forest is healing

Awesome campground! 10 minute drive to Lake Gregory or Lake Arrowhead. The kids and family had so much fun and enjoyed our time here. Site 40 was very discreet tucked into nature, not out in the open into the roads, wasn’t too far from the main restroom with showers and large trash bins were just a walk away.

wasps are absolutely off the charts and are everywhere. makes for an unpleasant experience. I would definitely not go back without checking wasp activity.

We had a wonderful trip in mid-July. The campground isnt too far from the urban sprawl of the greater LA area but feels remote due to its location amidst a lush canopy of trees. From check-in to departure, the camp hosts were friendly and efficient. They did a great job maintaining the grounds. Our campsite (40) was spacious, mostly level, well protected from the sun and adequately private from the neighboring sites. We were able to park a mid-size suv and a minivan on the parking pad. The site has a central tree that we were able to use to attach a dog leash trolley and ringed by other trees suitable for hammocks. A water spigot was located just steps away and there is a narrow path behind the site through some bushes to the nearest restroom. Restrooms and shower facilities were clean enough. The grounds provided a nice place to walk with young kids and dogs. An easy nature trail was also located along the back of the campground. We did a half day trip to Lake Gregory (10-15 min drive) for a longer hike and water activities. There is a resident pig that wanders around the camp, but we didnt see any bears (still used the bear box). Insects were less of an issue than anticipated, besides some yellowjackets by the water spigot. Neighbors were friendly and only heard an occasional hushed voice during quiet hours. Would definitely visit again.

We had a great camping trip overall. I rated Dogwood with 5 stars because, as a campground, it's really beautiful and clean. That said, be aware that Dogwood is very close to Rim of the World high school. If you happen to camp the night of a home football game, as we unknowingly did, be prepared for a long evening of overwhelming noise! I think we would camp at Dogwood again, but next time we would check the Rim of the World school schedule to make sure there are no big events when we are there, AND we would choose a campsite as far away as possible from the school.
