Barton Flats is a solid campground with a great vibe and quick hikes nearby. The campground is quite well-maintained and the showers and flushing toilets are a big plus. A big plus is that they allow fires and come around to sell wood.

Showers were turned off "for repair" when I arrived. Received an email notification part way through my stay that showers would be turned off "for end of season." Wish this information had been accurately and honestly presented. Would not have paid to stay at campground if I had known showers would not be available.

We reserved campsites #49 and #51 next to each other. Very spacious. Restrooms and showers clean. The location is beautiful. Just enough shade and sun to be enjoy the day and night (stargazing). Nice trails close by. Quiet and family friendly. No loud music permitted. Camp host very nice.

Beautiful campground nestled in the San Bernardino National Forest. Friendly host, easy access to wood, water. Bathrooms are fine. Showers were closed due to COVID restrictions. Not a problem but choose a campground farthest from the highway for reduced noise at night. Lovely hiking options in the area.

Site 49 has ZERO shade! We thought we would never make it to the end of the fourth day! In addition to that, I was reserving this site online which charged an extra $8 per reservation but the website made me reserve it one day at a time so we end up paying $41 per night that had NO ELECTRICITY AND NO SHOWERS! Camp ground host were very nice, but I'll never go back there.

The camp host was excellent. We come here a lot and always arrive with a clean campsite. The campground is easy to drive to and offer a short hike to Jenks Lake which is child-friendly. You might hear some road noise if you pick a site that's closer to the road.
