Campground Review Site #37 (Early June Stay)The drive to the campground was absolutely beautiful and surprisingly accessibleany vehicle can make the trip without the need for four-wheel drive, which was a relief. The campground itself is very well-maintained, and the campsites are clean and thoughtfully arranged. I stayed at site #37, which I found to be ideal in terms of layout and location. One of the standout features of this site was the generous spacing between campsites. We enjoyed a sense of privacy, with a large open field behind us and minimal road noise at night, creating a peaceful and quiet environment. The camp hosts were friendly, professional, and attentive to the sites upkeep and security. Bob, in particular, was welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.Cleanliness was top-notchI would rate it a 5/5. The restrooms were equipped with flush toilets and sinks, and new hot water heaters had just been installed for the showers. Our site was conveniently located near the restrooms and water access. It was level, offered a comfortable amount of shade, and was easy to set up camp on.In terms of pests, Id give it a 2/5 bug rating. There were a few mosquitoes, but they werent much of a bother. We did have a couple of aggressive scrub jays in the area, likely due to a nearby nest, which might not be a common issue for all campers.Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this campground to others looking for a clean, quiet, and well-managed place to enjoy the outdoors.

Great place to camp at. The bathrooms were close by and were always clean and well kept. Rangers were pretty friendly and helpful with any questions. Would come back again

This was my first stay at Barton Flats and I enjoyed it so much I registered a second trip for 2wks later. Very nice campground, clean quite although a little hwy traffic could be heard. Spent 2 nights at site 37 first week of park opening. Spot was very spacious, plenty of room for my setup. The dog had plenty of space also due to the trees. I can understand why this campground is full most of the time. I didn't see how the showers worked, but the bathrooms were well kept. The host for my side was very pleasant, along with the host for the other side. It was really easy to get to and unfortunately easy to get back to the grind. I liked it so much I planed another short stay and wanted to stay longer, but had to look into another campground due to availability. Camping is my therapy from society qaos, and Barton Flats was perfect.

Going camping is always a wonderful experience for us especially when it is done at Barton Flats. One can go on a nature walk or have a camp fire to make smore. My favorite thing to do is just to be silent and take in the beautiful site of the woods.

Barton Flats Campground is clean, well maintained and quiet - particularly in the evenings. The hosts, Elise and Lane, are great people and remembered our names from a previous stay.

Early spring on a thurs/friday was awesome! Quiet, and a ton of space at site 37 and adjacent sites. Cold (<40 come 3AM), but very comfortable temps after 8AM. Beautiful views all around. Take the 38 up for a beautiful, mellow drive.

Sites far from the road near the hill are best. There is a nice trail on top of the hill. Go right and it will loop back through the family campground. Flush toilets are a plus.
