Everything was great! The staff, the place, the beautiful nature :)The only negative experience was that a group very close to our camp spot had loud music after 11pm I believe this should be prohibited as we are looking for nature an a scape from technology/ city noises.Definitely we will come back

The camp is large and nice however there was no policy about quite time. There are people singing all the way to 3am and no body can sleep. This happened all nights we stayed there.

When we arrived, there wasnt any station or anybody to check us in so we drove directly to our reserved space and set up camp. Later in the afternoon the ranger stopped by and checked us in as well as collect money for our additional car. It was $8 a night, which isnt too bad. The staff is very friendly and welcoming! They also drive around on their golf carts and sell wood bundles as well. I loved this because they have a fire pit available for you to use at your site with a grill to place on top as well. Our spot was near the restrooms and a water station so that was nice. They also provide a bear locker, just make sure to bring your own lock! Curfew is at 10 and everybody seemed to follow the rules. Due to COVID the showers were available, so we used for buckets of water from the water station to bath. It was COLD. Barton Flats is near Jenks Lake. Its about a 10 minute drive. Make sure you have cash to pay for parking! You can fish there and hike there. There is no swimming though. Overall, it was a good experience. If youre looking for a relaxing, calm and quiet getaway this is the place. In the future we would want to be somewhere closer to water for the kids to play in though.
