We did not stay because there was no way we could get our 21 foot trailer in that spot. Someone from USFS needs to rethink this space. We lost our reservation money and had to pay additional money to stay at a private RV park.

We stayed at 1 of the 3 rv sites. Not a desirable location at all. Far from the main sites. They are cutting so many trees in the rv area. Not pretty at all. However..we moved the 4th night to a spot on the creek. Number 18. 100% ideal. And what you would hope in a campground. Monster size sites. So peaceful. My dad was one of the CCC men in 1934 that helped build the campground and the rock fireplaces that still stand in some sites. The roads in campground are paved blacktop and so extensive and all level. Great for bikes. I LOVE this campground. Just not the 3 rv sites w hook ups. Some spots are first come first serve. Some are reservable. We went after Labor DAy . Mid week. Less than 10 spots taken out of 100.

A little hard to find the RV site because it's actually to the left of the main tent site and boy if you drive your rig into the mainsite you'll be in a tight squeeze. The RV site is spacious and lovely. You really feel like you're in the woods without a soul except for a few other RV neighbors. However, it's right next to the road so you can hear cars drive by through out the night.
