Beautiful site super close to get to crater lake and a well kept campground. Close to union gap camp store and gas in crater lake or Diamond lake. Very gracious host this season. Will stay here again

Great place to stop and stay at if you want to camp close-ish to crater lake! Lots of fishing and hiking all over the place!

Beautiful campground with adequate services, but with one major negative. Booked 1 campsite several months early for August visit on recreation.gov, claiming 3 people and 2 vehicles and paid the calculated price on-line. After arriving at the campsite, I was "held up" by the camp host demanding another $12.50 per night for the second vehicle. When I showed my recreation.gov receipt showing 2 vehicle claimed, I got this story that there was some USDA Forest Service requirement to pay an additional daily fee for second vehicle that doesn't flow through when making reservations on-line. If this is actually true, why wasn't this calculated when I paid on line, or next best thing why wasn't there a note on-line explaining a fee will be required on arrival when making the reservation for this campsite. If the "bate and switch" fee is legitimate, fix you on-line reservation process to display the correct fee! Thanks for the opportunity to comment.

Farewell Bend is one of our favorite places to camp! The Camp Host's Bob and his wife were pleasant and respectful and kept that grounds nice and clean.
