My original site that I had booked on-line was not suitable (picnic table on the tent pad and no place to move it to), so I had to change it to another available site. Unfortunately that happened to be right next to the vault toilets, so there was a bit of foot traffic near me and also occasionally an odor. Walking around the campground, I would say that there really wasn't a bad site, most offering incredible views and/or privacy, depending on what you desire. If I was to do it again, The campground was pretty full, but the sites were well spaced out. That said, i did have a somewhat loud group across from me (on 2 sites) . They were really just talking somewhat loudly to the point that I could hear every single word, as if they were next to me. I finally had to shout out to them shortly after 10 that it was quiet time, and fortunately for me they cooperated! The elks roaming through the sites and bugling all day and all night was amazing and so fun and something I came there to hear...not noisy neighbors. All the rest of my neighbors were respectful and quiet. I was there for 3 nights and 2 full days and used "Dirt in my Shoes" 2-day itinerary for things to see and do during the days, and that worked out perfectly for me. Recommend!

We enjoyed our stay in the Moraine Campground. The rangers were knowledgeable and very nice. The views were spectacular and we even made new friends. We loved the convenience of the park transportation system. Overall, we would highly recommend it.

Great experience to fall asleep to the sounds of Elk right next door, they are literally in the middle of the campground. Also, we had a problem with our jeep and the volunteer Jeff jumped right in to help us out, so a big thanks to the volunteers and rangers that work in the park.

This is such a beautiful place to camp. The campground is very clean and, as a result, there was no bear activity or other unwanted wildlife campsite disturbances. Campers seem very respectful of the rules and the campground is quiet enough to enjoy wildlife and nature all day.

Very popular campground. This was my third time camping here, each time in a different spot. I really like the solar shower. And the wildlife visiting 🦌
