Had a great time at RMNP, tent camping in Moraine Park. Deer and elk everywhere! Campground nicely spread out. Comfort stations were clean, but would have loved a shower too. Hiked Sky Pond, Fern Lake, Horse Trail in Moraine Park. Camping allowed us to forgo timed entry so we could spend as much or as little time in Bear Lake corridor. Already planning our next trip

Overall a wonderful campground. Great access to the bear lake area, with multiple bus stops, and fern lake. Be advised that not every site has a bear box, keep your food in the car. Pit toilet and water were a bit of a hike down and then back up a hill, but very clean. Also, they sell firewood and ice but not on Wednesday. The ranger station also closes early on Wednesday (5:30) so if you arrive late you check-in in the morning.

Beautiful park with breathtaking views. Everyone working at the park were amazing. Truly friendly and helpful staff.

Most campsites are close to each other so not much privacy screening from vegetation, trees, etc. Restrooms were in good shape. Interesting outdoor shower facility where you could shower using your own portable shower bag. Would obviously only do this in warmer weather. Could hear elk bugling all night long. Tends to be very smokey in the evening with all the campfires. Rangers should go around at 10:00 PM or so and tell people to put out their fires. Some folks let them smolder all night long. Able to make last minute online reservations.

No showers, uneven sites, and insufficient number of food storage lockers made the stay unpleasant.

We loved camping at Moraine Park! We were there mid-August 2019, and the weather was perfect. The proximity to Estes Park for a quick dinner or supplies was just what we needed and it was real easy to catch the bus to all of the hikes.

Outstanding stay the first campground the second was slightly less so due to a lack of a bear box.
