I was disappointed to see the bathrooms had not been updated. For being closed 2 years I expected better. The new outside water faucets are difficult to operate. Its either a dribble or full blast.

Great views, lots of boulders the grandkids enjoyed climbing, nice amphitheater with nightly talks by park personnel. We stayed near entrance with nice restrooms and nearby firewood, open meadow just inside entrance had mule deer in the evening.

We have always loved staying at Moraine Park in the past. Since the timed entry permits have taken affect, that is not the case. If you have to run into town for anything, plan on a long wait to get back into the park. We waited an hour and 25 min. to get through the first entry point. Then when we turned on bear lake road to go to Moraine park we had to wait in another (shorter) line to get through that entry point. If you don't need to come back to the park until 5:00 it is ok. It was very frustrating to wait in line that long just to get back to our tent. The timed entry permits are causing more problems than they are worth.

Only one night. Great experience. Do wonder why the paths to remote sites are put so close to other campsites. Beautiful location.

Get there early on a Saturday! Lines to get into park are long! Deer Mountain was a great fall hike and a beautiful view.

The campsite was ready when advertised. It was well-marked and easy to find. It was large enough. The documentation was excellent. The campfire presentations were just great, and the ranger was well-informed. The water was easy to find. The rest rooms were adequate. Don't change a thing. I could have done without the rain, but I was prepared and stayed dry.
