Helpful park rangers. Ample trails to walk, and a fantastic view of the park from the site. I would have loved to have each site have a bear locker because my site did not have one. Still kept my stuff locked up, but just having that locker adds additional security.

The campsite was spacious. Close to others but still not bad. Well kept. The minimal cell service made for a great getaway. Bathrooms werent far at all. The only down side was the closes bear box was about 5-7 sites down and in the middle of a bunch of other sites so it was already taken.

The campground was great, neighbors friendly and hiking excellent.
This spot is hiking distance of bear lake, as well as beautiful, more secluded spots. One hike we took was through some charred trees from last year’s fires. Tough to see, but also really beautiful sites around.

Attractive campground. We had "vault toilets" only, but could drive to a bathroom with running water. Reservations and entry smooth.

Campground was a bit crowded. Due to COVID they closed part of the campground but the other loops were still packed. Regardless of the management cost, should have been better to have all loops open but people more spread out. There were only vault toilets at our loop (Loop B) which was a bit inconvenient. Had to go to loop A to wash our dishes. The lower part of Loop B does have very good view of Longs. Also had some elks roaming around next to our campsite.
