I was walking up to the Ranger station at moraine Park campground and a volunteer guy said dont step on the grass in a pretty harsh tone. If you dont want people to step on what is supposed to be new grass put a sign up cause I didnt even realize I was doing it and I dont appreciate being spoken to like that. Im 63 years old and military veteran.

What a treat to wake up to elk bugling; saw lots of elk and deer in the campground!

Wonderful family camping! Woke up to deer right outside of our tent and elk in the field below. We will definitely be back!

Usually tent camp in site D151 which is a walk to site. Feels fairly remote. This time had to settle for B225 which was at an intersection and felt quite crowded. We still felt fortunate to be there.

Great Campground. The Park rangers were very attentive and welcoming, but they really had there hands full with campers not following simple directions like not leaving food and garbage unattended at a campsite. Lots of camper ignorance, but the campground itself is great. Lots of elk bugling throughout made it very unique. Lots of trailheads that are walking distance from this campground.

Oh my, this campground. My husband and I were lucky enough to get a spot due to a last min cancellation. Its a perfect location for visiting RMNP. Woke up to the sound of a screaming elk, it was beautiful. But unfortunately We stayed at site B225. It is located right next to the main entrance road, so expect cars zooming by regularly. It is also located across from the dumpsters so expect drunk people to throw away cans and trash into the metal dumpster all through the night. The site is also very close to the neighbor site, and you hardly have your own parking spot. Dont expect to fit more than 1 vehicle. We also had the pleasure of being situated next to the most obnoxious group in the park - Even after 10pm, the site is not regulated so people are free to continue partying obnoxiously until you stir up the courage to tell them to shut up. Bathrooms have pit toilets and they seemingly let the sh*t stew until who knows when. Sickening smell. Would not recommend this site.

Stayed at this campground for 2 nights in September and had a great time. The campground is pretty large, but easy to walk around and drive. It was a quick drive to many trail heads and the shuttle is nearby for busy season. Highly recommend the horse back tour! There is a little shack to get firewood, and drinks on site which is very convenient. Well definitely be back in the future.
