We had a site with views, electricity and close to where all the elk action was, it was great.

The park was right near the entrance and overlooked the meadow where Elk were feeding. We heard Elk each evening/morning. We even had several Elk walk through our tent. There were no "real" showers; only solar showers. The bathrooms were adequate. There was a dishwashing sink, but I wish it also had a counter or something to place clean dishes or supplies on. The Rec.gov website and the sign said full, but we drove up anyway and a camper had just left their site early so we got in. We hiked all over Bear Lake, Dream Lake, etc. and Alberta Falls. Also drove the Ridge Trail to the peak.

We were very disappointed with how the camp ground was maintained. There were weeds growing up around the picnic tables and tent spaces. I asked to borrow a shovel or weed eater to clean up the weeds at our site and was told that they do not do that and would look at the weeds. The young gentleman that looked at our site was very rude and said that the area was ok. To me he was just to lazy to help.I have been to this camp ground every year for a long time and this is the worst that I have ever seen it.

With covid, there are less people and we enjoyed the quietier campground.

Great overall, though our site had no trees, making it difficult to spend any time during sunlight out in our campsite. Bathrooms could be cleaner, otherwise I would rate experience 5 stars.

Love this campground! Stunning Views! We can get soo many hikes in! Trailheads and shuttles close by. We wake up and go for run in park or a small hike with kiddos before breakfast. A lot more flexibility when you stay in the park. We have stayed outside of the park and the traffic and wait times to get into the park can be LONG (one time it was 45 mins!) I highly recommend considering tent camping or RV camping at Moraine Campground in order to enjoy the full potential of this beautiful National Park.
