Park staff was friendly and facilities were clean. The campsites are close together but the fire pits are staggered so theres separation between picnic tables and fire pits. Beautiful views.

Improved sites with electricity is very beneficial. It would be nice if additional Comfort Stations were built especially in Loop B and near the Ranger Station

We were in Loop A. Spacing was a bit close, but not bad. The pit toilets were the worst-smelling (ammonia) that we have ever experienced in any campground, so much so that our eyes stung and we avoided as much as possible. It was right after Labor Day weekend, so many users we supposed. They need better ventilation! We did have awesome elk viewing, and walking right through the grounds. Also, deer, and coyotes singing. Love RMNP.

The campground is wonderful but I couldnt get a reservation for two nights in a row so I had to move campsites. It was a hassle but being in RMNP during the elk rut is magical.

This is a beautiful campground. The accessibility to Cub Lake trail is a plus. Unfortunately our campsite was B221 was very tight with no privacy or view. I will go back but will make sure not to be in this loop. The vault toilets were awful - didn't seem like anyone was cleaning them.

Major Issues
@DavidT5110185 · Camped on Jun 20, 2022 at Campsite #221
Camp ground is nice and well maintained. I rated as fair because there are simply too many people In The Rocky Mountain national park. Reservations are required for nearly everything, people are generally not respectful of the wild life or vegetation. Living only 45 minutes away, this makes it very hard to enjoy what is in my backyard and teach my children how to respect nature.

Location nice, checking easy and bathrooms horrible.

Moraine Park was great! Lots of trees and a clean space. I saw reviews that the view was compromised compared to other parks. It did have more trees and where we camped you didn't have the vast picture of the mountains, but the view is still gorgeous! I will go back again and I have been recommending to friends. Easy win. It's also a very convenient location to camp if you are taking 36/Trail Ridge Road West.

The Rangers were very helpful. The camp had beautiful views. We are so thankful there was a comfort station with running water and flush toilets within a three minute walk for our three little girls. The pit toilets closest to our campsite (and the whole eastern side of the park as well) were disgusting to say the least (worse than porta potties). Our site had no shade (it appears trees were cut down since the pictures were taken of our site). Bear boxes were also not put in communal places making it awkward to use since they were placed at specific sites and you would have to walk on to peoples camp site to use one.I still love the Rockies. Moraine Park was close to all of the major hikes as long as you get up early. We had a great time, the campsite being the least desirable of the whole trip. There were other campsites that had more shade and closer to the comfort station.

It's a very nice park. My only complaint is there's a lack of privacy and it's difficult to figure out exactly how private your site will be while navigating the website.
