We enjoyed RMNP from start to finish! Moraine Campground was great (a more level parking space would have been great), the shuttle system was fantastic and the hikes and trails were great! We also enjoyed being able to watch the herd of elk and their activities from the hill of the campground! GREAT experience!!!!1

Beautiful campground! Good shade. Deer wander through the campground. Well maintained, modern restrooms are clean, drinking water easily available, camp hosts friendly and helpful, volunteers and rangers are wonderful as well. Even ice cream is sold at the campground where firewood is on sale. Access to hiking through shuttle bus system. There are also some trailheads nearby (Cub Lake, Fern Lake, Moraine Park). I return to this campground every summer.Beautiful view of Longs Peak and other mountains, as well as the Moraine Park with the river flowing through. Sometimes deer or Elk can be seen here. I only wish that more bear boxes would be added. Currently, bear boxes are shared with multiple sites (where I camped, with three). This year we didn't have an issue sharing a bear box, but in past years all the bear boxes nearby were jammed full. We did not see any bears this year, but have in past years.

The campground was very clean and restrooms were well taken care of. We appreciated being able to use our solar showers in the stalls that were provided. Wildlife viewing was amazing with elk bugling and a large herd walking through the campground early on our first morning. The shuttle was very convenient and hiking was good. The only problems were near the end of our week long stay when a camp down the road was playing music very loudly after 10:00 PM and I had to get up and walk down to tell him that it was disturbing many of us who were trying to sleep. On the morning we were packing up to leave the neighboring camp left two barking dogs inside her trailer while she went hiking. The dogs barked incessantly the entire morning. One of the neighboring campers tried to report it at the campground entrance station but there was no one there to report it to.

The campground is inside the park and has beautiful views. But the bathrooms were not maintained. The pit toilet in loop B was very very very dirty for the three days we stayed there. I can't understand why the park authorities didn't bother to take care of it. After all, it's such an important park.

Great site! Towards the end of the loop so there was some privacy. Great views of Long's Peak and the elk enclosure.

That campground, where we stayed there, was good convenient for us because we could go to Estes Park about 10 minutes and to Bear lake for 15 to 20 minutes from campground. We could see Longs Peak from my tent. That place was good to stay.
