No Electricity and a Short Hike: Know that this site, like many others in Moraine, requires a hike up a hill from your parking spot, for this site, C 202, I'd estimate about 30 yards (maybe? could be more) which was fine for us bc then you're on top of the hill away from the road. The C loop is also the only electric loop so you're with the campers, so being on the hill helps with the noise. AND the pictures show an electrical outlet - that is NOT the case at this particular site, so be warned. All the other surrounding sites have boxes but not this one, which was fine for us, my kids charged their phones at area unoccupied sites. The views are gorgeous. You're a short walk (5 minutes) from the Moraine campground ampitheater, which was handy for attending a program. The site was clean, the tent pad was nice and even. Bear box clean. No showers. They are still working on the campground but for the location and views, honestly, can you camp somewhere more incredible? Just know about the hike up the hill and that there is NO ELECTRICITY, as shown in the picture. Enjoy the beauty!

Our campsite had a beautiful view of The mountains and the meadow. Deer walked through our site a couple of times. Elk were in rut and the bugging was great to hear late evening and early mornings. Elk would come down to the meadow every evening. Recommend trail ridge road to the tundra. The young Aspen were changing colors too. We couldn’t have loved it more

Site C-235 is a little secluded, walk up to campsite from the parking spot is not far. Easy access to the shuttle by a little walking trail that was .1 miles (5-10 minutes from our campsite ). Bathroom facilities were very clean. We camp here often especially in the fall, so we can hear the elk bugling, beautiful sound in Morraine!!

We enjoyed our trip to RMNP and Moraine Park campground very much. Campground was clean, well kept, and spacious. Because of the current fire ban in Colorado, propane campfires are the only type currently allowed. If you have one, expect multiple visits from park rangers to ensure that it is in fact propane tanks. Apparently people repeatedly reported to park rangers that there were campfires, but no one kept track of who had a propane ones. 6-7 visits within a three night stay seems like a waste of resources.

I was a solo tent camper, I'd never been to RCNP so my days were spent hiking the many trails. The location of the campground was great for getting to the various trail heads, one I was able to walk to. While I was there the elk were rutting, which was magnificent to observe and listen to, although there was some bad behavior among the observers (getting too close to the elk), and there was no ranger in sight. I gave the campground 4 out of 5 stars because the bathroom was small and old. Otherwise it was a lovely spot.
