I really enjoy the electrical hookups, it made the campground much more peaceful without running generators which in turn allowed us to hear the Elk bugle. Access to some sites are still difficult with larger RV or Trailers but better than before.

I do not recommend any site between 142 to 150. They are on a curved road with a 10 degree downhill grade and a very high curb at the edge of the campsite. Near impossible to back an RV into site 147 in reverse and then hitting the curb was a disaster. Extreme load on vehicle. I was in a 25 ft motorhome. Once on my site 147 for first 3 days, I did not want to move my RV for fear getting it back in. The other issue was trying to level. It was a 1 ft slope down hill rear to back. Not good. They spent $19 mill on the remodel. The views are great. The campsite is terrible. Good luck jack knifing a trailer in there.

I can see being "bear aware" but the National parks, I think are overly parnoid compared to state parks.

Early morning and afternoon sun can be intense at space B249. Recommend an easy up for the picnic table area.

Moraine Campground is a beautiful campground complete with Mountain views and wildlife! We have never been disappointed to camp there. This year, Loops A and D were closed. Mama and baby moose took up residence in Loop A. It was so fun to see them everyday! This was our first time camping at Moraine in June (we usually go in September). There was still snow on some of the trails in the Bear Lake Corridor. All the rivers and waterfalls were rushing with mountain runoff. We did hike the Wind River Trail too. A huge Bull Elk crossed our path. You won't be disappointed with this campground!

We had a good stay overall. The rangers were all helpful and kind. However, we have a few points to note. The campsite was specious enough but there was not much shade or trees to use if you wish to build yourself a shelter. Theres a tent pad for which youll either need to bring a hammer or help yourself with a rock to weight down the tent as the surface is quite hard. One of the things that we werent very happy with was the cleaned of the vault toilets. We understand that theyre vault toilets but they were the worst weve seen at any park. Itd also be nice to have dish washing stations at every loop instead of only at the few comfort stations.
