Nice camps sites with good views, the space between sites could be better. Good bathrooms and trash. Minimum generator noise.

My family of 5 with 3 little kids stayed in Moraine park campground for 5 nights total at two different campsites. The location was great as it was close to the entrance of the park, and has amazing views. There is a valley to the south (southwest?) of the campground where there is a herd of well over 100 Elk. There was also easy access to trails from the campground, and to the shuttle that can take you around the park. Everyone we met was super friendly, and the park rangers were very helpful when we had questions. The only thing Id say to keep in mind, is many sites didnt have shade, so our tent got really bright and warm quite early in the morning. That wasnt a negative at all, and was actually nice at night to have a good view of the night sky. We would definitely come back and stay again! We had a great time.

I found the campsites odd. Only some had parking next to the actual site. We had to cart gear down a slope and it wasnt as close to the restrooms as we sixty-year old tent campers usually like. The bathrooms were rarely clean because, though not at the fault of staffers, campers can be a selfish lot and contributing to a clean community bathroom isnt fun. The rangers and staff were very helpful and a great resource for hiking information.

Wish there was a closer bear box to our campsite, carrying our coolers and storage boxes up and down the stairs to our car was exhausting. Close to the bathrooms and great view at the top of the hill right next to the campsite!

I started hiking and camping in RMNP over 42 years ago and, on this trip, introduced a 4th generation of my family to camping in this beautiful national park. The camp sites are very well maintained with sizable tent pads and bear boxes for safe food storage. The trails are as beautiful as ever. The campground toilet facilities were regularly cleaned and well maintained in the face of COVID-19 with potable water readily available and firewood sold each evening. I look forward to bringing my children here for years to come.

Everything was great. The facilities were nice and clean. The check-in was easy. The location of the campground was strategically located inside the park. Quite close to all the places I wanted to visit inside the park if you have a car.
