Beautiful, cleans and quiet camping. Just seconds from meadow to observe elk beginning of fall season. I was so lucky to get last campsite available.

This campground in Rocky Mountain National Park offers breathtaking mountain scenery in every direction.Having campfires available made the evenings warm and cozy. The atmosphere is calm and relaxing, with large campsitesespecially those located near the forest edge.Deer wandered by my site almost daily, adding a magical touch to the experience. The bathrooms were exceptionally clean and well maintained.Estes Park is less than 10 minutes away, and countless trails and attractions can be reached within half an hour.

Excellent campground! REALLY glad that the campsite reservation included timed-entry access to the park and Bear Lake area.

We really enjoyed our stay at site 11! It was conveniently located near the bathrooms, but not close enough that you could hear folks in and out of the bathroom all night. The rangers and camp host were easily accessible and made sure folks were practicing appropriate bear safety. The only downside to this particular site is it seemed to share a bear box with Site 12, which did not have a bear box. We didn't have neighbors staying in 12 until our last night but it does seem odd that for a campsite with active bears there wouldn't be one box at every single site.

Moraine park campground is such a great spot to see all of the east side of the RMNP. It’s especially nice because you are in the Bear Lake corridor, so you automatically have access without having to get an additional entry reservation. And you never know what critters might come wandering through your campsite! I highly recommend it there.

The campground itself was wonderful. The problem is getting back into the Park should you decide to go into town. One check, when you register online. Second check, when you enter the Park. Third check, on Bear Lake road. And forth check, entering the campground, at which time you will be given a tag to tape to your windshield. And STILL you will need to show your pass and ID each time you come back into the Park. I hate stupid. This is stupid and time consuming for EVERYONE waiting in line.
