We had a wonderful experience at Morraine Campground. Great views, good bathrooms and kind guests. Informative Ranger show on flowers in the park. Our entire family loved the hike up to Hayahai Lake. Cant wait to go back

We were not able to attend our original camping dates due to a death in the family. I forgot to cancel my reservation for July 24th-26th until 2 am on the 24th. At that time, it would not allow me to cancel any of the days resulting in paying full price for the whole stay. A ranger reached out to me and left a voicemail wondering about our stay, but when I tried to call him back,15 times throughout the day, he never answered. So anyway, make sure you cancel ahead of time even for a consecutive stay as it is impossible to do online and impossible to talk to someone at the campground to make a change.

We always have a great time when we go to RMNP and camp at Moraine Park Campground. It is clean and safe. It is close to town but still in the wilderness. There are bathrooms with flush toilets close to any campsite. The views are spectacular. There is very nearby access to the shuttle bus that will take you anywhere in the park. This hiking is amazing. Some of our favorites are Bear Lake/Nymph Lake/Emerald Lake, Sprague Lake, Alberta Falls, and Fern Lake. All but the hike above Bear Lake are easy and beautiful, and well populated. So sad to see the burn areas with so many beautiful old pine trees burnt. But amazing new growth on the forest floor. There are abundant photo opportunities, wildlife, landscape, and wildflowers. No dogs allowed on trails. It is best to take the shuttle to your trailhead as parking is scarce.

Great time for winter camping. Bathrooms in great condition. Lovely loop walk around the park.
