The location is fantastic -- camping heaven.Like all such desirable NP campgrounds, the USPS makes it hard to get comfortable. Bathrooms are few and distant, and there are no showers or other conveniences of modern life.

The campsite was good. The entry booth was a really tight squeeze for an RV.

The main road is loop A which is 2 way. Loops B, C, and D are one way and depart and rejoin loop A. My site was fairly level and had lots of trees. Other campers were considerate and the campground was peaceful. It was hard to get any solar power but I was there for a short time.

All 'round it as a great three days. Couldn't have asked for more in terms of weather, the elk herd, and the setting. A little hard to turn my trailer around with the loop barriers up. Maybe marking the barriers on the campground map would be helpful.

How could spending a night in this park be anything other than exceptional??? We had mule deer wander right through our campsite and the natural feel of the campground just added to the experience. Other campers were extremely cognizant of light and noise pollution which made our stay even more enjoyable. The hike to Emerald Lake is amazing. Don't miss out on that!

The campground is lovely, but this particular site felt like it was designed for an RV rather than a tent. The site was crowded, with the picnic table, fire pit, and tent pad all within three feet of one another. Further, the tent pad was located immediately next to the road looping through the campground, which made for a bit of discomfort as people were driving past less than ten feet away.

We had a great experience at Moraine Park Campground. We stayed there on a Sunday night in August. We got there after a late lunch, and there was a long line to get it; however, it only took about 10 minutes. The people working at the campground couldn't have been any nicer or more helpful!
