One of the most beautiful places in America; majestic mountains, diverse wildlife and stunning views. And among all of this you have commercial jets flying overhead all day long, every day. It isnt because pilots are limited in their airspace. They purposely fly overhead RMNP so their passengers can look. Good for them. But, what a buzzkill.

What an amazing experience. If I could give 6 stars, I would! I tent camped at Morraine Park for 2 nights. During my two day stay I had so many firsts! I solo hiked in the Rockies, which sounds terrifying, but the trails in Morraine park are highly trafficked and well taken care of. There wasn't one time where I felt unsafe. The natural beauty of this place is astounding. I did the park & ride to Bear Lake. That trail was rather easy and again, highly trafficked. From that point I hiked up the mountain towards Alberta Falls. What a beautiful waterfall! Along the trail the only wildlife that made itself known were chipmunks, who were clearly seeking food from hikers. Just a reminder- it is illegal to feed all wildlife in the park. I continued past Alberta Falls towards Mills Lake. The trek wasn't easy due to the rough terrain and the elevation gain, but it was SO worth it!! Mills Lake did not disappoint. The view of the mountain range and the crystal clear water left me in awe. I spent 2 hours sitting by the water just taking it all in. I 100% recommend this trail. Back at the campsite, I was really pleased with the cleanliness of the park. I was surprised to see an entire herd of Elk grazing just 60 yards away from my campsite. They continued all night and I woke up at 6am to an Elk bellowing 10 ft away from my tent. So cool! There are a few hiking trails right next to the campsite. One of them being Cub Lake. I did this hike around 630pm! This is an easy hike with little to no elevation gain. I had to turn around before the sun set because I didn't want to get caught in the middle of the meadow at dusk. I'm so glad I went when I did though because that is when I saw a female Moose make her way out of the forest to graze in the meadow. That was the most beautiful and humbling experience. On my last night I stayed up to watch the stars come out, not expecting to see the Milkyway and yet there she was! This experience truly moved me. I'm so glad I camped here!

The Moraine Campground has a great location with wonderful views. We stayed in Loop B, 207 and found trail access right from out tent site to the meadow below the campground. It was quiet and the amenities were fairly close by while being clean every time we used them.We found Moraine Campground to be the perfect location within the park to access all the trails and sites we wanted to see.

This location was perfect for our family. The site was clean but the vault toilets were disgusting. Overall I would definitely recommend.

Moraine Park is a beautiful campground! It is pretty close to Bear Lake and Sprague Lake, annual must-see attractions in the park. The campground facilities were extremely clean and well maintained as usual. The staff are always friendly and helpful. Thank you RoMo!
