I wish it were easier to get reservations and hope that the Park can be more fully opened next year. No complaints though, the Elk were incredible, bulging and rutting all night in all their glory! Magnificent! Thank you so much for managing this incredible national resource. We are so fortunate to have it!!

Beautiful campground. All the other campers were friendly. Rangers were a bit understaffed, but very dedicated, kind and helpful. They should pay them more, and enough to recruit them some more help! Yes, even if it means raising site rates.

Many, many of the campsites are more like camping apartments than actual campsites. THere's just a lot of sites crammed in so that you hear one or another of the neighbors all the time. Camping used to be an experience of nature.. Now it's cars, generators and the voices of the neighbors and also their dogs. In general, the tent sites seem to be a bit more spacious than RV sites.

Mostly a great campground, sites not too close together although A024 is more like a parallel parking space than a pull-thru. But lots of trees, some nice views, and close to some good trails. Easy access to watching the Elk in the late afternoon/evening!
