only thing bad was that you can't check in the campground until 1pm.

Lovely park and facilities are ample if in good useable condition. During our two night stay we watched the newly installed potable water faucet get broken by young boys who apparently did not know how to work it. Because of this mishap our loop water was shut off until it could be fixed. One of the two nearby vault toilets had a horrendous episode which made it unsanitary to use. We watched several campers peek inside and close the door. Our newly installed 30 amp breaker was broken, however the 110 worked well. We reported this but unsure if it was reported to maintenance. We will come back to this campground because it is a beautiful campground with great facilities. Just the maintenance during our stay was below this parks standard.

Moraine Park camping was delightful this year. Had a view across the valley and a couple of deer visited each morning. There was an undisturbed bird's nest on a stump in our campsite. We live about an hour away from RMNP, so we visit often, but from the campground in one day we walked around Sprague Lake, then walked around Bear Lake, and then drove up the Fall River Road. A glorious two day respite from the madding crowd. The map on Reservation.gov was not updated for the test opening, so our spot was awkward for our pop-up camper. We didn't see any Hosts, but friendly uniformed Park Service people came through pretty often. A lovely return visit. Thanks!

We were close enough to a bathroom, had a flat designated area for our tent and a picnic table and fire pit. Check in was easy and they gave us info about the park too!

What a treasure. Rocky Mountain National Park has been a family favorite for years. We love observing the wildlife, especially the elk and enjoy the fishing opportunities. Nothing beats the beauty of a beautiful Brook trout in the Park's streams and fishing separates you from the crowds and allows you to appreciate the beauty of the Park in solitude.

We were in a trailer so during the 3 afternoon/evening rain storms we were dry and napped to the putter-patter of raindrops. Tenters be prepared for some wet and coolish temperatures. Hiking/walking the hilltop S. Of the campground is rewarding for views of wildflowers, Mtn Bluebirds, chickadees, Robins, pine siskins, white-breasted nuthatches. Also the views down into the meandering Big Thompson stream within the glacial moraine valley revealing 20-150 cow elk with their spotted newborn calves cavorting about as wet as nursing when possible. The shuttle comes every 30 minutes with stops at Cub lake trailhead then Fern Lake and up to the Park and Ride to transfer to Sprague Lake or up to Glacier Gorge trails to end at Bear Lake. The drive up Trail Ridge road is magnificent with many pull-offs to photogenic overlooks. You may even spontaneously sing: the hills are alive with the sound of music... Taking the time while above tree line examining the tundra plants especially while blooming blues, pinks, yellows and whites on the green background not more than 1 tall while 1/4 diameter is jaw dropping. We had a family of mule tail deer daily feeding on the vegetation feet away from our trailer. The Ranger talks are always worthwhile .One can recreate whether strolling about the campground, around Sprague/Bear lake or a strenuous hike just being in and a part of nature.

We got the last campsite after trying for 3 months. The bull elk were bugling all night long.

While the experience during the COVID-19 situation was different than ever before, all of the NPS employees I met did a fantastic job handling the abnormality of the experience. Thank you so much for working to keep access open!

Great views of Moraine Park from the campground and access to trails without driving. Just a short drive to the park and ride shuttle which stops at amazing trailheads such as the Bear Lake area and Glacier Gorge.

Park was wonderful. We went hiking every day. Glad we were close to Estes Park, as we had RV problems and needed to visit the auto parts store twice. Campground was well laid out and beautiful. Campsite was close (but not too close) to restrooms. Only problem was that the campsite was situated "Backwards" from the one-way flow of traffic on the road. When we got there, many spaces were still open and we were able to turn our truck-trailer around to back into the spot. But when it was time to go, this was not possible. A ranger helped us out by driving her little cart in front of us as we exited the campground loop going the wrong way. The dump station was a little difficult to maneuver and get hooked up to. Sorry, I forget the details. But it seems like it had to do with the connection to water to flush the black water tank. A fitting was missing? but other than those two small problems, the campground was great and we are looking forward to visiting again next year.

Site was near restroom which was convenient and not an issue with folks coming and going. Bear came through at night and tried to get into some cars at our site and nearby sites but overall no issue. Campground conveniently located within park and children enjoyed playing behind the campsite. Would stay here again.
