This campground wasn't as deep into the park as I expected, so you can still get signal in the park. A31 is just a 150-meter walk over the hill to the restroom. The restroom is VERY clean with flushable toilets. The campsite is well-shaded. Not much foot traffic to disturb you at this campsite; however, sounds DO CARRY. The first night we were kept awake by neighbors at A30, and the second night by people down at A28. Bring ear plugs! I did the Bear Lake to Dream, Nymph, and Emerald Lake hike. Nymph was the best looking lake, in my opinion. Emerald and Dream look the same, not worth the hike, but a local told me the lakes look much prettier in January/February.

Perfect location to everything! Had a wonderful walk in camp spot for two nights. The staff was great and informative. I did an evening hike to the Pool/Club Lake started at the Fern Lake Trailhead very close and convenient to the camp ground Amazing new green lush growth along the trail after the fire. Very peaceful. I also got up early the next morning (5:30am) and drove up to Bear Lake parking lot. The trail was already booming with hikers, but much less than on my way down at 11am. Stopped back at my campsite for lunch and then headed and drove the Old Trail Road. Was a great visit! Lots of animals to be seen as well!

It was a busy campground but we were able to pull in and get one of the last spots. It was an AMAZING location for Elk Bugling. It made the traffic into the campground a little hectic, but it was right next to all of the activity. The grounds themselves were very clean, the bathrooms were excellent and it was a great campground. It definitely gets quiet at night, so not a place if you want to be loud at all hours, but it was an awesome location and a great place to stay.

We had a nice walk in campsite that wasn't too far from the car but gave us some privacy. This is a beautiful campground and park. We took several nice hikes and the bus drivers on the shuttles were extremely helpful and informative. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

It's such an honor to stay in the park, and the campground is not too big and rather well laid out. Be prepared for a party atmosphere if you are tenting on a summer weekend....bring ear plugs if you're a light sleeper or go to bed early...
