A wonderful campground inside Rocky Mountain National Park with stunning mountain views all around.Campfires were allowed, which made the evenings even more enjoyable.Overall, the place is beautiful and peaceful, with spacious campsitesespecially those closer to the forest area.I could see deer passing by my campsite almost every day, which made the experience even more special. The restrooms were spotless and sparkling clean. Its less than a 10-minute drive to Estes Park, and you can reach many hiking trails and attractions within 30 minutes at most.

We enjoyed staying here! Being close to the elk was AMAZING. We loved hearing them bugle all night!Cons- there are not enough bear boxes! Campsites have to share, sometimes 3 camps sharing the same one. We had to leave a cooler of drinks out because it wouldnt fit, and we got in trouble. Luckily the ranger gave us a warning and no ticket but the warning is on our record now. The lady selling the ice and firewood is very rude. Wish the solar showers had bags for ppl to use! That would be a cheap addition and it would help alot. Our camp was 12, it was up on a hill so carrying our stuff up there sucked.

Bear Lake corridor is very popular, parking at Bear Lake is usually full by 7AM or earlier. Park at the Park & Ride and take the free shuttle bus instead.Four lakes hike is beautiful hike and do-able for even children/families in a day, 3.6 miles round trip - Bear Lake, Nymph, Dream, Emerald.Need at least 3 days if you want longer hikes to other areas of NP.Trail Ridge way over the Rockies to the west side of the park takes you as high as 12,000 ft elevation w/ breathtaking sceneries along the way.We stayed at Moraine Park campground, most very convenient location but does feel a bit crowded. Did not have enough bear lockers, had to share.Este Park is a neat town to check out if you want a break from the park.

Exceptionally clean sites and facilities. Site #12 was up on a hill within A loop. It was great during the day, but a little trippy at night because other guests walk to the restrooms next to site 12 from all directions. You could clearly hear elk calls at night, which we found cool but others may find unsettling. Overall, gorgeous place directly within the park!

Nice location, camping with significant space in between camp sites. Perfect place to go in the COVID world.

This site was pretty dope! We booked a little last minute and were left with very few options, and when we saw that this was a "walk to" site in between a bunch of others, we were a little worried. Instead, it's a super short walk on a path that connects directly from your parking spot to the site. Better yet, you're actually on top of a little hill that kind of overlooks the rest of the grounds, so you have tons of privacy with a great view, and it's a guarantee that no one will be walking through your site. The only downside is that you're a little close to the shower/restrooms. There wasn't much noise, but the lights were noticeable in the middle of the night, and that was a bit of a bummer.Overall, I don't think you can really go wrong with any spot in Moraine Park. Great facilities, beautiful sites, and awesome surroundings. Just be sure to book early!
