Water was over chlorinated. Host (nice guy, Bill) said your contract guy went to the pump added chlorination, appears to have been on the high side although Bill said it was in limits. Still water was undrinkable. If you think a refund is in order we agree.Jim McCormick

Thirtymile is our VERY favorite place to camp in Colorado. We have been coming up here for about 25 years. This trip was great as always, only there seems to be a problem with the water this year. it smelled very strongly of chlorine. The last day I happened to walk by the big sign at the bridge and saw a notice that the water supply wasn't "managed" by a "licensed company" or something like that. It didn't say the water should not be used, it was more like use at your own risk. By the end of our 9 days there my face was red, burned and itchy from washing my face. Hopefully this can be fixed. Such a BEAUTIFUL place!!!

The cleanest campground bathrooms I have ever used. It was quiet and private. The hosts did a very nice job. Most of the sites are good for various reasons whether it be a big family or friends gathering, a hidden little corner, or a great view. This is becoming our favorite campground in the southern part of Colorado.

Place was clean and well kept. The frustrating issue was campsites were reserved with no one staying in them for several days ignoring the rule of occupying on the first night of the reservation

The dirt road in is in good condition and we really enjoyed this campground! Sites are large and ours backed to a creek, which was nice. I hiked a few miles on the Weminuche Creek trail which starts in the campground. The Rio Grande reservoir has two access points; one a few miles from the campground marked by a sign that read "toilet" and the other at the far west end. We enjoyed a day trip to Creede and drove over Slumgullion pass/Lake City on the way back. Unfortunately the people next to us ran their generator from 7am to 10pm which was super annoying; maybe if you need that much power for your residential fridge, you should stay in an RV park instead of inconveniencing everyone around you. I don't go camping so that I can listen to a lawn mower noise all weekend.

We camp at thirty mile 2 to 3 times a year. Most times it has been 5 star, although this time we had crying babies and late night partiers for neighbors. Camp host were a great couple. Had to get reservations in the sites we like. Never know the dates that when site reservations are available. All in all love the place. It's a 6 1/2 hour drive for us, but worth it to get away from the crowds closer to town. Only thing on this last trip is we didn't see the moose that usually strolls through the area.

Super nice host. Cleanest and freshest vault toilet I've ever seen. Grounds were in excellent shape. Plenty of trees and shade which was great to beat the sun. The surrounding area is drop dead beautiful!

First of all, before you read this review, you must understand that I did not stay at the 30 Mile Campground. I was staying at the River Hill Campground 3 miles to the East so I rode my motorcycle up to 30 Mile to make sure my Class A Winnebago could traverse the campground and fit into the small campsites. After riding around the narrow campsite roads and examining the campsites where I was going to stay, I determined this campground was "too narrow" for a Class A RV with a trailer. It's a beautiful site for smaller Class B and C RVs and 5th wheels but questionable for Class A RVs especially pulling a car or trailer.

Since Parks management Company took over most of the Rio Grande NF campgrounds all rates have increased. This campground is probably worth the new rate. It is well managed, sites are clean and mowed, toilets are well stocked and maintained, and water is available throughout the camp. This cannot be said for others in the system. Some say they have water but do not. Others are so overgrown that sites can only be distinguished by the table floating above the grasses. 30 Mile also has the best access to fantastic trails.

I just used PerfectCamp.com to book six consecutive August nights at the most popular campsite in one of the most popular campgrounds in Humboldt Redwoods State Park in California. That is not anything I could have accomplished anywhere else with the ease I did here! Thank you, PerfectCamp! I LOVE this site! You will find me on several other camping sites but the design, format, functionality, and personality of this the best. It’s fresh and clean.

@Wondering - Oregon

Wow! Woke up this morning to a notification that a favorite had opened at Paulina, and when I went to check, it was there. This membership just paid for itself in the first 24 hours I owned it. Couldn't take the site it conflicted with a trip already set, but it truly was there. Thanks Tons.

@CarlaLThompson - Colorado

I just love this site and I tell everyone about it! It's so competitive to secure desired campsites and the alerts really help track when sites free up. The best part of this story is our alert notified a cancellation the next day!!!!!! Just incredible!!!
