Always a go-to spot for us, close to home and in a beautiful place with good hiking. Always clean and quiet except for traffic noise.

Hosts were great. Site was great. All its missing is a dump. How about one across the road at the picnic area?

First time at Potato Patch and we loved it! Very clean site and bathrooms. It poured and hailed on us the last night for about 30 mins and it was glorious. After the rain stopped we made a fire and sat out and watched the little bats flying all over. The only negative Id have to say (if its the sort of thing that would bother someone) is that it is pretty close to the main road, which is a two lane mountain road but it still attracts the type of driver who wants to drive it like a wannabe race car driver. So you get the occasional loud engine going by at all times of the day and occasionally after its dark. (People are the worst) All the RV spots are very close to tent spots and so you will also hear generators however everyone was very mindful of the quiet hours. But unfortunately for us, it was not quiet hours when we had a huge thunder and lightning storm so it was hard to enjoy the thunder mixed with the generators. But in all it was a fantastic spot close to Jerome and Mingus Mountain for little day trips. Highly recommend.

Thank you for a wonderful time. The kids enjoyed how friendly the hosts were and how much they could run around.

FANTASTIC! Beware if you have a larger trailer you may have a hard time getting it in your site [loop A]. Our trailer is 16' and we had 4' left over. The campground is really clean even the fire pit had been cleaned. Down the road a piece is the ghost town of Jerome , a nice place to walk around and visit the shops. Don't plan on an early visit because the town wakes up around 10:00. This town has very narrow streets and sharp turns, not friendly to larger trailers and motorhomes. For those of you with larger units you may want to consider coming from the Prescott / Prescott valley side. Loop B is for larger units , we stayed in loop A so we don't know much about loop B. We will be back!

Located in a quiet shady hollow among pine trees. Close to Jerome. No cell service! There has been no sign where to turn, but it is the road on the opposite side of 89A from Mingus Summit Rest Area. If you need cell service, and want great vistas, Mingus Mountain Campground is for you.

Love this campground. The compost toilets have no odor. The camp hosts are the best!
