I purchased online a 2-night pass for a designated campsite. However, the campsite I really wanted was first come, first serve. Sure enough, when I got there, the campsite I wanted was available. So, I asked the host if we could switch the prepaid campsite for the first come first serve site. The answer was "no." I had to cancel the original prepaid 2-nights, which I did not even get a $8 refund as mentioned on the rec.gov website because there was a "system error." Furthermore, I needed to rush to pay now cash for the new campsite I selected since it was first come first serve. In hindsight, I spent $72 + online fees for 2-nights of camping, and no help from a ranger or a host. Let's just say, I'll stick to dispersed camping before using the rec.gov website for future bookings.

Clean, quiet, safe to camp with only one site located across the driveway. Some fun and scenic trails to mountain bike or hike.

What a wonderful campground! We stayed in site 1 with a 22 ft. trailer and a crew cab Chevy truck. We were able to back in and keep he truck tow ready the entire time. The views from the picnic table and tent site were gorgeous. Beautiful views of granite mountain and no view of anyone around. It was like camping in the middle of nowhere. It was quiet and very private. The pit toilets were the composting type and very clean and odor free. We will be back!

Great location with cooler weather. Unfortunately, some water filling stations were not available

All we can say is WOW!Our site #1 was very private. We did get out 28' 5th wheel into the spot without much trouble. These sites are very spread out and the other campers there for our 6 nites were dead quiet (luck of the draw) so it was beyond relaxing. This campground is also very clean. Our 5 year old Golden had a great time running around in the field next to our site and swimming in Granite Lake, just up the road. We already booked another week there!

Tent pad was freshly raked upon arrival. Site was clean. Site 001 has very large boulders that lend a sense of privacy. I live in Prescott and re-use site 001 over and over again.

Nice little camp ground in the forest. We enjoyed our 5 days and it was very quiet. We will go again for sure.

Campsite #1 is nestled against huge boulder. Loved it as a tent camping site. Felt private with great view of Granite Mountain. Not real close to toilet.

This was a lovely little campground very near Prescott. The views of Granite Mountain from camp were stunning. There is a small lake nearby for a picnic and fishing. just stayed one night but was very nice.

I reserved my space with RECREATION.gov and had a great time camping in the forest. All the campground sites are beautiful. Site #10 just fit my rig and has a large flat area behind the parking spot big enough for a tent and then surrounded with bushes and trees. #001 was better. A larger area for my rig, a large flat area for a tent, then big big boulders that you can walk around and more trees and bushes, just beautiful. At both sites I didn’t have a strong phone connection but was able to connect for a quick conversation; other areas in the park I had no problem with internet or phone connection.
