Quiet. Very nice toilets ( compostable ). Close enough to town to make a run in convenient, but far enough out to feel like you are in a bit of wilderness.

This is a very clean and quiet campground and if you stay I would recommend a trip to the Heritage Park Zoological Sanctuary

Campground was fine, but after 20 years experience with USFS CG hosts, this guy,Mark, is very poor HOST material. In my view, hosts at a minimum should make contact with guests, make them feel welcome, make sure they have a reservation, correct site, check in with guest now and then on their rounds. He did NONE of that. Optional could be pointing out the nearby trailhead, pond, and maybe bragging a little about the compost toilets. I think RRM can do much better.

What a delightful experience! Spacious, private sites with natural vegetation completely separating the sites. So dark and quiet at night, we really enjoyed the night sky. Concrete picnic tables and fire rings plus tent pads at (all?) sites. There are two buildings with composting toilets that are so much nicer than pits! It's only a short drive into Prescott where we explored the breweries :-)

There are no hookups, which we expected and loved. I could hear a generator (barely) in the way background but once we went indoors I couldn't hear it.
