I arrived after sunset on a rainy night, but I was easily able to find my campsite and get everything setup. There was a momma javelina with her babies grazing nearby when I arrived, which was a pleasant surprise! It was already too wet for me to start a fire, but I was able to quickly pitch my tent and get cozy. You definitely need a waterproof or 3-season tent to be out here during this time of year, but there was something very calming about listening to the rain hit the tent all night. The volunteers are very friendly and helpful, and it was very nice to chat with them the next morning! I forgot the volunteer's name, but he was very kind and gave me a few protips about the campground and surrounding areas. Overall, it was a wonderful and well-needed trip. :)

White Spar Camp Ground is awesome! So close to downtown Prescott yet you feel like youre in the wilderness when youre there! Beautiful trees and great amenities. Manny and Sheila were the Camp Host when I was there and they were extremely nice and helpful. Highly recommend this place!

Site 26 is well, tiny. Its tent-only and has basically zero privacy youre about 10 feet from the next RV, so congratulations, you instantly make new friends. The RV next to us loved running its generator, so enjoy that soothing rrrrrrr all day/night.Oh, and the high-voltage power lines right above the site? Perfect if you were missing that good old city vibe while camping.No water after November 1st, but hey, at least the bathroom was fine. And to be fair, the host was actually helpful and friendly.

We've stayed at White Spar a few times now and have always had a good experience, would definitely recommend. This trip we saw a herd of deer a few different times and some other wildlife.

White Spar campground was clean. It was annoying hearing generators all night from some campers. There were also campers that wer playing their music loud that was annoying too.

The reservation system is good when it works. If people make reservations and don't show up, then ding them those days up to the 14 day limit, or give them a full refund so others can use the camp spot.

I camped at site #26 for two nights.
Comfortable, clean and quiet!
Camping solo can sometimes feel a little sketchy but I felt totally safe and enjoyed my stay very much!

We booked online site 26 for one night. We were tent camping. The site directly behind us had a generator running from the moment we set up, which was around 5 pm until 12:30am. They only shut the unit off because another tent camper told them to turn it off. Then, they turned it back on at 4 am. So, needless to say nobody got any rest with that generator running. There are posted notices of quiet time from 10pm-6am. The camp host did nothing to enforce this, this making everyone else suffer. We packed up and left as soon as we could in the am. So VERY DISAPPOINTING. We wont be back. And wont recommend it to our overlanding friends and family.

nice and peaceful spot. Neighbors next door were barely visible. Even with their generator on most of the time it was fine. I'm going back to this same spot with a guest!

Good, clean campground. There have been an unusual amount of RVs as of late, so beware to campers who want to hear nature. Its filled with the sounds of generators!
