Very nice campground. A well marked trail system was accessible right from the campground. One of the trails went to Goldwater lake.

This is a lovely, forest setting with miles of trails departing from inside the campground. It is directly adjacent to Hwy 89 so there is some road noise, particularly on the weekend. The host was very helpful and accommodating during our visit. We were unable to fit into our reserved site due to approach angle and overhanging trees. The host led us to an alternate site, which was still a little tricky because of trees, but we got into it. It was actually a better site because it was away from the highway. Our original site (#20) was next to the highway. The only downside to the new site (#24) was the power lines that hung above/ through it. The site had a nice, flat tent pad, picnic table and fire ring. Adjacent sites were 30-40 yards away. While there, we saw javelina and deer. In early February, there were only a handful of other campers in the park. Another downside was drive-thru traffic. Normally, the main road through the campground connects with Hwy 89 at 2 ends - an entrance and exit, if you will. Currently, an area of the campground and the road is closed for the season. We had numerous, non-campers, drive past our site (#24) every day. The weekend was the worst. There are several sites that can accommodate a large 5th wheel like ours but some of them are difficult to get to because of overhanging trees or approach angles. Site #6 is a wide open, easy to access, pull-thru site. It's near the entrance and vault toilets. Site #4 is also a huge pull- through, with trees but is directly above Hwy 89. We would stay here again, during colder months, because there were few other campers in the park. We imagine it is much busier in the warmer months. Also, we saw reviews on other apps, stating homeless encampments were occurring in the first come, first served sites but did not see this ourselves. Overall, this is a beautiful, quiet campground with hiking trails and wildlife. A great little getaway that is close to everything Prescott has to offer.

Great, quiet, and plenty of space between the sites. Also hiking trails for the family. Saw deer and wild pigs.

Beautifully wooded campground with a generous amount of space between sites. Level paved parking spots. Close proximity to Prescott.Only complaint is that the camp host who lived there was not available when we knocked on the door mid day. Never saw the host.

1>. Trees were too tall, marsh mellows were too hot, birds too loud, deer ate all the grass, coyotes howled too quiet, too many trails to hike, the children laughing was so annoying, and certainly too much nature for us. So we had to knit in my lawn chair the whole time.2>. Best campground in the Prescott Area hands down! Plenty of space in sites, even for bigger trailers. Restrooms were clean, sites were kept, and the volunteers were professional. We are a new full timing family of 5. So yes, we have our house with us. The emergency generator was needed unfortunately. I was surprised how little noise it made and there were a few other campers who remarked about how quiet it ran. I use a CPAP for sleep and our off-grid battery situation was not functioning. The staff were more than accommodating in this regard.

The only thing we found was bathrooms do not have outside lights for night time usage and we had to wait 2 Days before someone came buy to place our reserved tag on our site. Everything else was good.

We were only a few miles from home, but it felt like a million. Very quiet, plenty of trails to hike with the dogs, and the site was clean. A pack of coyotes provided great entertainment on evening.
