Beautiful campground, well spaced and mostly level sites, excellent camp hosts but the toilets smelled awful, beyond tolerable. It was fairly cold so I cant imagine how bad they get in the summer.

This is one of the few forest campgrounds that is open in the winter and we greatly appreciate that it is open. Sure, we could go to one of the desert campgrounds but we like the forest. The campground was in great shape. Very clean. There wasn't any water available on site but we were expecting that due to the freezing temperatures at night. There are lots of places in town that will let you fill up your RV water tanks for free. The hosts were friendly and helpful. We hiked up the mountain on one of the trails that were in the campground. Great for rock hounds. We appreciated the close proximity to Prescott on this trip because our propane wouldn't work so we went to town to get a camping heater and some more warm clothes for the girls. It was in the mid 20's at night so it was nippy. But right around us there were four tent campers!

White Spar has awesome MTB trails that are accessible right from the campground. The campsites have a leveled area for the picnic table and fire ring.
Good

This is a nice campground, definitely in the forest but not too far from services in Prescott. However, there is no Campground Host so campsites are not tagged, the dumpsters were overflowing with trash all over the ground, there is no water available, and the bathrooms are very old and stinky.

This is a good campground if you enjoy mtbiking and plan to ride the bean peaks trails. Its also close to the town of Prescott. We stayed at site 7. The trees provide good shade and good viewing at night to see the stars. The issues we had with the site were the noise pollution from the highway, the bathrooms were smelly and dont have sinks, and there are no bear boxes at any sites to keep food safe. Black bears do exist in this area.

Sites are easy to access, most have lots of shade, and spaced out. Ours, and a few others, weren't the most level and to the full extent of our leveling capabilities we were still slightly off (Site 7). Still, a great site that's easy to get to. Loved the hiking trails nearby for the kids, Goldwater Lake is nearby, and downtown Prescott weekends are great for the fam. Nice quiet place for the nite. great location. Wish there were showers. Would be nice if there was as a hose hook up to fill the RV tank. Mountain biking in Prescott is the best! We also walked around downtown Prescott, lots of shops and dining.

Booked a site online so that wed have a spot on our first night in Arizona. When we showed up late there was a tent in our site. It looked empty, but we werent sure. We thankfully found another site without someone in it, but there were other sites with abandoned tents in them all around the campground. It didnt lend a safe feeling. Wish someone would clean up sites especially since people are paying to reserve said sites. Town of Prescott nearby was nice though, friendly people working at Costco and a donut shop.

We had site 8 and it was perfect! Beautiful surroundings, it was distant from other sites and tons of space for our vehicles and equipment. Will definitely be coming back!

It is so conveniently located near Prescott and most of the back in sites are nice (mostly for smaller rigs). There are many tent camping sites and RV sites that are best for tenters too since you are right next to the road. When we were there, most of the locks on the bathrooms did not work and the toilet paper was not kept stocked.

This was our first trip to White Spar Campground. The site we reserved online looked really nice. When we got there the site was on such a steep grade there was no way to level up the trailer. I spoke to the camp host and he gladly let us move to another location, which was flat and level. This was greatly appreciated, otherwise we would have had to go to another campground and pay again. There is a sign posted about keeping food put away due to bears, we didnt see any thing, other than a few deer, which was really cool. I had read comments about homeless people, causing a nuisance and being disruptive, so I was a little concerned. There was none of that either. Very quiet clean campground. Theres a great barbecue restaurant just up the road called Simple b, youve got to try the brisket its to die for. I will definitely be coming here again, maybe one of the nicest quietest campgrounds weve been to.

Nice little spot next to town. It was very quiet when we were there. Downtown is just a few minutes away but you are in the woods. We have a 24" bumper pull trailer and once we figured out the parking for it we did fine. Took some work though. One note is that spot # 7 is not level. It is an uphill driveway. It was tough getting the trailer off the truck then leveled out front to back. Might be better for a tent camping spot ?

The campground was great. Improvements to the restrooms would be nice (sanitize, maybe a light). We didnt see any info on generator hours, so had a neighbor rev up at 9 pm. Maybe have clear quiet hours and generator info posted. Our site was site 7 and was a tight fit for our 26 foot trailer. It was on a small hill, which made it challenging. Overall, we were pleased with our stay. Great access to trails.

We stayed here only one night but will definitely return and stay longer. The hosts were welcoming, the sites clean and quiet. There is distance between sites and plenty of water refill stations.
No fault of the camp ground. It was a terrible time for camping as it was just to hot during the day. The site and area was nice with tall trees all around us. However I was there for 5 nights and not once were the restrooms were cleaned. The flys were atrocious. The restrooms at Yavapai CG are much nicer with the composting toilets. Apparently the camp host was unresponsive when others of my group complained.
We enjoyed our stay very much. The camp hosts were very nice. My only suggestion would be to give a better description of the sites as we stayed in 7 and the drive was quite sloped. We had to max out our jack due to the angle. We made it work and had a blast. Will come back again!
