Beautiful dry camping (though water is available) smaller campground set in the pines just south of Prescott, AZ. Spots are spacious, and well spread apart from other campers. Most are with a paved pad of some sort, though not all are level, so you will need your leveling blocks and/or automatic levelers in many instances. Pit toilets kept clean, though could be better kept up with toilet supplies. Water is available, but 2 of the 3 of the pumps I tried were broken and the at the last one water would not come out, despite it leaking all over the ground nearby). The host was great - very helpful when we needed to change our spot at the last minute because of my error with choosing a spot to reserve when doing so online - I didn't match up the pictures with the site I chose - my fault. The CG is very close to Prescott - taking a right turn on the highway upon leaving the CG leads north into the city and takes you directly into the heart of downtown within 3--5 minutes. Great hiking and mountain biking trails right out of the campground.

Granted, it was marked as a tent spot, but there wasn't a way to park a van anywhere close to level. Site 18.

Nice campground and hiking. However, there were many vacant sites that were not on the website, as well as some unadvertised FCFS sites. Yall need to check that out and fix it.

Boondocking only but toilets available. Very nice campsites. We saw woodpeckers and their storage trees and even a juvenile tarantula! Camp host was very nice. Will go again.

We very much enjoy the White Spar Campground it is clean, quiet, close to Prescott, and beautiful! The reason we gave a low rating is campsite 18 is not at all designed for travel trailer use. The space to park your trailer is literally the road. There is no back in or pull through space, just a slightly wider shoulder, with large posts to avoid. We had to drive in the wrong way down a one way street, so that our door didn’t open into the road, and canopy open into the road. We have young kids and this could have been very dangerous. Then as other trailers and vehicles pulled in they had to try to miss our vehicle and trailer to make the turn. I am sure this site works great for tent camping but it should be a last resort for travel trailers or RV’s.

They need signage at front to instruct how to proceed if you have reservations. Other campgrounds will say reserved at our site. There was no signage. Our site had no info either. Host knocked later to confirm our name. Sites are not very level. Men’s bathroom was So so. Didn’t use woman’s.

For being so close to town you still feel like you are far away from everything. The bathrooms could use some modernization. Overall really great and I will most likely be back. I would definitely recommend it to friends.

Nice campground. Very convenient to town. Nice wide open sites. Water off for winter until April 1. Would have liked to know before we arrived but was not a big problem.

Campsite #18 is terrible. You have to park your car on the road; it is not a "pull out" parking space. Other campsites seemed much better.
