A great place to say price is reasonable. The lake was a little lower this year. Hopefully itll be full next year. Lots of space nicely. We have stayed there six or seven times.

The campground host for Loop B was very rude and should be fired. The toilets smell very bad.

Spread out spaces but not the largest lots. Ours had a small tent area but additional room to roam in the trees and hang a hammock. Would stay here again.

Beautiful spot close to a trail. We were very happy that we brought a shade tent since it was direct sun for a good amount of the day. We were able to setup a hammock with the trees nearby.

Situated in a beautiful ponderosa pine forest, quiet, peaceful, close enough to town to be convenient, but far enough away for campground to feel remote. Clean and well maintained. I would camp here again.

This is my favorite campground, I love the sites and the proximity to Lynx Lake. Tip: Pick up firewood on your way in. Host was "off duty" at 4:30 on Sunday afternoon.

Excellent campground in the woods near Lynx Lake. Well situated, with some sites providing plenty of elbow room. Restrooms and water faucets.

This is a beautiful, quiet, and picturesque campground that is very well kept. Everything was clean, and there’s a lot of space between each spot, which really made the spot feel more private.

There’s very little light, so you can really see the stars. It’s just a short walk to a small lake, which has a path around it. There is ample hiking as well.

I strongly recommend this campground!

Great spacing for all the campsites in the forest south of the lake to permit more privacy between campsites.

The host was super nice. When I arrived I realized the spot I had chosen online didn't fit with my truck camping needs and he easliy and happily helped me find a spot that would. It was a lovely site with little garbage anywhere. He gave me good info about hiking to the lake. Although there was a lot of rubbish around Lynx Lake. Perhaps you could post more about picking up especially on behalf of all the wildlife that lives there. So many plastic caps. Please consider banning single use bottles and any glass bottles from the area. I picked up a lot of that kind of picnic trash and posted about it on my social media. I'll definitely camp at Hilltop again. Already planning on it.

Loved our spot for the week, B13. Most of the spots in loop B are for tents which is what we prefer. Dropped into the low 40s so got cool at night last week. We will be back, great fishing and hiking.

great site and way cooler than Tucson being higher elevation!

We loved this camp site. Very spread out from other campers. Super clean bathroom on a Monday. Close to the lake. Very active wildlife at night, heard owls, coyotes, skunks, and a bear. Only about an hour and a half outside of Phoenix. Will definitely return!

We love the campground and have been there quite a few times, but the campground hosts are pretty much worthless. Every time we've been there there have been one or two groups that were making a lot of noise, running generators, playing music etc after the 10PM quiet time, and the hosts are no where to be found. We've had to walk across the entire campground and knock on the host's door (the host in Loop A), and ask them to tell the loud people to quiet things down. Now, there's absolutely no way that the hosts could not hear the commotion that was going on as it echos throughout the entire campground. There is absolutely zero proactive measures taken to make sure that at 10 PM the campground is quiet. One visit we complained every night and the Loop A campground host did absolutely nothing. Instead he called the Forest Ranger and let him handle it in the morning. Meanwhile the noise continued until the wee hours of the morning. There have also been times when the host in Loop C ran his VERY loud generator ALL DAY! Talk about an annoying camping experience! Beautiful and comfortable campground, if you like late night noise and no help from useless hosts.
