A quiet, clean place. NO complaints. Our new 'Go To.'The host is also helpful, positive, and that just adds to our experience.

We always come to Spanish Creek and we absolutely love it! And our kids do too so that’s always a win! Per usual, we will be back :)

This is great campground with an awesome swim hole. We went in eRly August and the water was a great level. Very good for families with younger kids. We saw Crawdads and snakes. Our camp host, Manny, was very present and attentive. The bathrooms were clean and smelled nice. Everything was well kept. Beware though- trains run through this area 24/7 and not quietly. Bring ear plugs if youre a light sleeper.

The campground is lovely and the camp hosts, Tom and Brenda, are really friendly and keep the grounds pristine. They round several times a day which also helps ensure that people follow the campground rules. The creek is fantastic with a large beach and several smaller ones along the creek. The only draw back, which kept me from giving 5 stars, is the train tracks right above the campground. The trains run through the canyon all day AND night. Right above the creek, there is a tight turn for the trains to make which causes them to apply their breaks which leads to an ear-piercing squeal. The trains are very long so the screeching goes on for several minutes (as many as 10-12 minutes) That may not seem like a long time, but when it is the 6th train in the middle of the night, it will really make you lose your manners. The first few times we stayed at Spanish Creek, the trains weren't as frequent (maybe 3-4 a day), but the last 2 times we stayed there, at least 10 or more come through---most of which are at night. I know there is nothing to be done about this issue but it is something to keep in mind when booking your stay.
