We were not informed the road would be closed so we had to drive and hour and half more to go around to a different route. then when we got there the water had not been turned on so we had no water for 2 days. the boat ramp had not been put in the water so we had a hard time launching our boat. There was only 2 camp host for the 3 campgrounds and they were very much overwhelmed with what to do. Once the water was turned on we had a nice time we love it up there but the last 2 years with the outdoors in plumas as managers have not been as enjoyable. we hope the next time we go things will be better.

Terrible! Here's why:
The reservation system is constantly manipulated by contractor. For example, last year the reservation season was extended to 9/15. Typically the season ended after Labor Day. Those of us who always count on sites after that date being available as walk-in. This caused a big problem last year. Also walk-in site #35 (A preferred site for campers with fishing boats) was given to a host who stayed there ALL SEASON when normally designated Host sites with septic were vacant. Also site #37 reservation status has been changed from walk-in to on-reservation, back and forth numerous times in recent years. For many seasons the reservation period and site status has remained constant so that customers can properly plan their vacation visits. It seems to me that manipulation of the reservation status only generates anger and frustration for campers including myself. Please initiate appropriate action to prevent these issues in the future starting with the 2020 season.
